'The fate of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms hinged on this moment. They would write about this moment in history. Will mine be writ with blood or ink?' Galahad thought, as he sat atop a small hill. Eons seemed to pass before the horns blew, and in slowed time, Galahad charged forwards yelling at the top of his lungs "For the Sunset!"
His cry held, and he rushed towards the enemy. As he clashed with his first man, he ducked a swing of the soldier's halberd, and came up with his own two swords, cutting the man deep across the torso from left hip to right shoulder, as the man fell dead at his feet. Continuing to push forwards, he successfully dropped four more soldiers in succession before being halted by three of them, fighting together in unison.
Bracing himself, Galahad ducked down and charged forwards, catching the three of them unawares, and tackling over the middle of them, while staying to straight. Twisting in his spot, he placed deep gashes on each of the men, making both of them stagger as the third man stood up. Lunging forwards, the soldier tried to stick the small spike on the halberd into Gal, though he side stepped it, and held his sword straight, letting the man impale himself on it.
As the men regained their balance, and came at him aggressively, over their ally's death, Galahad ducked, pushing the dead body towards one of them, as he caught the blow from a swing, and extended his free arm, releasing his sword, as it caught the other man in the neck. Pushing the body off his sword, he drew it out, and in a smooth motion, brought it down upon the man who's halberd was stuck in his comrades chest. All three lay dead. Turning quickly to retrieve his sword, he rose and returned to his regiment, where he found one of the white-masked Basilisks approaching the king, only to find Darien Stone in his way.
As the two men engaged, Galahad put down a man approaching, before cutting off another man hoping to give his champion the edge in the battle. Basilisk after Basilisk soldier rushed forwards, hoping to help their Champion kill Darien, and move onto the king. A few of his fellow soldiers rushed in to help the effort of keeping the Basilisk horde at bay. Killing a dozen of them, Galahad turned to see that Darien had killed the white-masked champion. Letting out another battle-cry, Galahad rushed forwards, killing two Basilisks, as they advanced. One was cut across the face, breaking his mask, and revealing a beige face, with a large red gash across it, his brown eyes open and in shock. His face was mutilated, and looked barely human then.
Looking around him, Galahad saw men to the left and right of begin to fall, as he tried to rally himself to a safer position. Becoming surrounded by masked invaders, Galahad faced near-certain death, but, turning and killing a man, he escaped alive, and found himself fighting near Darien, Mychel, and the King himself.
Regaining their ground, the small force pushed through the horde of men, killing those who attempted to reach the king, as the forces of the Kingdom piled over the city walls, heading for the Red Keep. Unhappy that he is not at the front lines, Galahad helped kill whatever men remained between the bulk of the army and the king before charging forwards, and over the walls of Kings Landing.
The city was red. Beneath the black sky, the Red Keep looked sinister, atop it's hill. The streets were flowing with blood, the burnt and charred buildings were covered in bodies, and mud. Men fought in the streets, as regiments clashed, leaving mud, blood, and shit to remain in their wake. It was a disgusting thing, as the Lizard men had twisted the city.
Filled with a new anger, Galahad pushed forwards, running up the lines of men. As he ran up a street with a small regiment of Mander men, though he was at the back. As they turned up Aegon's hill, the commander of the regiment froze solid. Investigating, another soldier turned the corner and looked up the hill, also freezing solid. Slowly, each turned to stone. Cursing, Galahad knew what beasts lay around the corner. "Men! Do not look up that hill. Evil beasts with eyes of the devil reside there. Looking at his blade, he saw it was covered in blood. Wiping it off, he used it to reflect an image up the street, around the corner. A large green lizard sat there, staring at the two bodies of the men.
Closing his eyes, Galahad turned the corner and lunged for where the beast was, his two swords stretched out. Jumping through the air, Galahad collided with something solider, his swords penetrating through it, as a shriek raised from the beast. Stabbing it repeatedly before opening his eyes, Galahad saw the lizard, dead on the floor, with multiple wounds along it side, one wound through one of it's eyes. He was entranced by it for a moment, the foreign beast.
Then, hearing a battle horn, he looked up to see the Kingdom spilling over the walls of the Red Keep, just up the hill. Racing upwards, and joining the large crowd of men spilling forwards, Galahad scaled the already taken wall, just long enough to see the fight between the Dornishman and the accursed Empress. She impaled herself on the man's sword, as the Basilsk army broke, being slaughtered by the men around, Galahad himself killed a few dozen.
The day was won, and the lizards slayed.
