Under the Crown fleet sailed ever closer to Seagard, Patrek had hoped that Danwell would have caused enough trouble so that they would catch the Ironborn unawares, which was a long shot. Alarms could be heard before they were in firing range. The sailors cheered when they saw 13 Ironborn ships burn and Patrek managed a small smile, this could likely make them the winners of this battle.
The Ironborn ships closed in. “Fire the ballistae!” Patrek yelled. The ballistae fired but most of them missed except three who managed to hit the two closest ships. “Load your crossbows and prepare to board!”. There was a flurry of activity and soon they had cleared two ships of Ironborn, leaving the remains of the longship to sink. Then Patrek watch in horror as four of his ships sink and the soldiers aboard them helpless due to their armor. Patrek growls and command the boarding of the three closest vessels, and the men performs admirably managing to clear the ships and set fire to them.
The battle was back and forth for a while, with no clear victor. Though Patrek knew they had the most ships, they were of lesser quality than the Ironborn. Six ships were lost, then two, then the enemy lost some. Sharks could be seen in the waters feasting on the dead men, or the live ones. Painting the water red.
The enemy commander proved his worth, when he managed to sink six more ships, then four more. Fortunately Patrek’s own ship came in close. He leapt the ship's railing, and planted two feet square into Harrin's chest, before bringing down his axe and severing the man's hand at the wrist. The bastard Ironborn howled, but Patrek showed no mercy as he splited the man’s skull. Other sailors boarded and before he knew it the Riverlanders was fleeing the battle. “Victory!” Patrek yelled and the sailors and soldiers cheered. The Crown Fleet had regained some of its self respect, though Patrek nearly chuckled as he thought that there wouldn’t be any fleet left instead he grimaced.
Result.

Patrek increase battle to expert
