If your reading this, you are proly new to the game, so i welcome you happily.
Hello, i am Randal Lannister, lord of the Lannisters, and here are some of the basics of the game.
Game Basics:
In the game, you post as your character or as his/her NPC's (other minor characters that you control). You can just post the general things that your character does in the boards that fits where you are. If you cant find a thread which has where you are, just make one, the people shouldnt get mad.
Also, the other type of thing you do is write scenarios, these can be anything but i just use them for things that would take place over several threads(or boards) and i dont want to post in every one. You just write up what it is and send it to the Smith(our wonderfull admin, who was once Lord Lannister) Also include what you want to happen in your scenario and the Smith will okay that those things happened.
Since i assume that you are a lannister cause this is the lannister board, i will just post a few intro things that should help you out.
1. Dont be afraid to PM me with any questions that you have, i was once a freaked out noob to, so i can help you if you are lost.
2. The big grand plot of the game is somewhat flexible, so dont be afraid to post something, i shall tell you if it totally doesnt fit, and then we can correct it together.
PLOT BASICS (big letters, cuz its helpfull)
Okay, as of when im writing this its 513, so i plan to update this regularly as things progress. But for now...
These things happened several years ago, Lord Dondarion rebeled against the Baerathons who had ruled for the last few hundred years, the Tarqueans(dragon dudes, i cant spell xd) joined with them as did House Lannister. The last battle of the war was fought at Casterly Rock and the Tarqs won the war. Callen Baerathon, son of the dead king, went into hiding and the Lannisters gained political favor.
Four Years of Peace
After a few years of peace, Callen returned to the realm and slowly gathered back supporters, Dondarrion also began slowly regaining supporters, and House Lannister wonderfully stayed silent, remaining behing Aemon Tarq( the king). The Game of Thrones was played for a few years, untill Aemon was killed by his brother Aedon, Dondarrion and Callen called there banners, and the realm was once again at war.
Dondarrion took Kings Landing in a bloody battle but himself died killing Aedon. Callen marched in and picked up the pieces, becoming de facto ruler of Westeros. House Lannister remained neutral. Baldwin sent an Emisary(me!) to Kings Landing to negotiate with Callen, but was murdered by his son before anything could be worked out. Allard(baldwins son) took over and declared himself King of the West. Dorne and the North stayed neutral, while Balor Greyjoy took Riverrunn from us and pillaged the rest of the Riverlands.
Before Callen could invade, Randal(me) took over from Allard in a bloodless coup. At the recent Great Council, i was sworn in as Lord Regent of the Westerlands untill Allards daughter is of age.
And thats where we stand, allied with Callen, at peace, for once.
(god i got carried away, if any of you have the patience to read all that i applaud you. Also, Sara, Smith, if there are any factual errors please correct me. My spelling is bad, live with it.)
