There's nothing more epic then reading brave Kingsguardsmen, and even just loyal knights, laying down their lives in the name of their King against a traitor. Not only that, it is in the view points of each one of them. I just read it again just now, and I still find it a very sweet battle.

Timm VIkary was a Kingsguard like fifteen years ago. There were rolls, but I keep most of the stuff behind the curtain.
