Give him a piece of candy or something...seriously though there are a few things we could do. First you could personally lead the charge, which may make him happy...risky for you though. Second I could lead the charge, and try to befriend the king before hand. However that would make you look bad. Third comes later but do something heroic in the battle. Fight a commander one on one or something. Last even though he is not happy now we will work things out after the war...rebuild relationships and rebuild our strength as stormlanders.
When and if we sack KL will we kill all the Basilisks. I don't know how Willam would feel about killing their empress, he is kind of against that in a moral sense.

I would feel alot safer if we didn't lead the Van, but I don't think its a bad idea if we do. Personally I think it would be ideal to have either the Lannisters up front (the weaker they are the safer I feel) or the Starks (Roose deserves to get thrashed)

Well, we now know that the King is not happy with us at all. He obviously does not understand what Breck was meaning.

Well, he definitely does not understand what we're going through. The Stormlands has lost 15,500 men trying to relieve the trapped forces at Deep Den, and retaking Casterly Rock from the Foreign Invaders. That is 3,000 more losses than the Crown forces, 5,000 more losses than the Westerlands who come in third for casualties.
I think if he insults you again for not taking the Vanguard, you can just tell him that the Stormlands has had more casualties than anybody else, so the sacrifice he has asked us to do has already been done.

It looks like he has placed us at the back. He'll be grumpy, but at the end of the battle he'll know we're loyal oncemore...or so I hope. After the battle we must set about immediately to find allies. Everyone should befriend several people if possible...

Well by the end of the battle the King will know we are loyal and we will have more men than we would have if we were in the Van. Given our current situation I think having more men might be worth losing a little bit of respect from the King.

Well, even if we do save men we will still have the least men of any of the Kingdoms.

Given our current situation I think having more men might be worth losing a little bit of respect from the King. Agreed. Especially because we planned on gaining influence from other allies anyway.

A bit off topic: is there a good map of King's Landing around? Mine is kinda low quality.

Just FYI I am getting rid of Bryce Caron as my third PC. I am gonna make one following the battle whose a bit more of a sneak and an informant I think.

Good idea, I think that would be more beneficial to us.
