As Piers leaves, Steffen bursts out laughing.
"Truly a bastard born. A real lord would have at least had me whipped. Yet you always were a sallow one were you not Piers. Always uncles little pet bastard. Well remember this fool. This city is as much mine as it is dear uncles. Watch yourself,"
As the footsteps trail off, Steffen looks up, for the first time in his life, afraid.

Lord Baldwin Lannister enters the dungeons, and looks at his nephew. "Do you have anything to say Worm?"

Looking up insolently, his eyes flashing, Steffen opens his mouth.
"Yes. Why has my dear uncle locked me in a dungeon, after i defended his son's honour and perhaps saved his life not more than a week ago?

Looking about the dungeons Baldwin says, "This is not a court. I need no evidence. I have found you guilty, Steffen. What we are talking about is punishment."

"Plotting and subversion. My son travels under you, and he is being charged with rape. We can both do sums Steffen. Minus one Allard equals Steffen is Lannister heir. There are countless rumors about you trying to subvert me, but I did not act until you endangered my son."

"Then you are a bigger fool than i thought." Steffen stared at Baldwin cooly. "If i wanted your son's name sullied, i would not have publically declared the woman who made the accusation a liar and a whore. As for rumours, so what?"
Steffen grinned, before leaning closer to his uncle, the chains chinkling. He whispered, "why dont you just kill me? Youve always hated me, noone would know or care. You killed my one true uncle all those years ago, and drove my father away. Your certainly capable"

Turning pale Baldwin stepped away and looked down. A moment of silence passed before he answered the charges. "I did not kill my brother. I will admit my brother, your father, left because he hated me. Randwin blamed me for Allard's death just as you do. I never hated you worm, I was indifferent to you and your anger. I swear no order from me will ever result in your death. But that dies not mean I will let you and your poisonous attacks out of this cell."

Laughing bitterly, Steffen shakes his head.
"Feeling guilty eh? You always were a fine liar. Even better than me i suppose. Do with me as you will, but know this, the worm will never kneel to the serpent," Steffen spits in his uncles direction, and to his horror, the worm felt tears stinging his eyes.

For several moments Baldwin looked at the worm, then with out saying another word he turned and exited the dungeons.

The doors slam open and Lord Baldwin rushes down the stairs, "Are you responsible for this?" Baldwin was screaming, he had never been this out of control.

Staring at the Worm with blazing eyes, "You had my son killed didn't you." Several of Baldwin's knights arrive. They had been following him, but he had been moving fast. "I need to know...tell ME!!"
