Things are looking pretty bad in the south, what with King's Landing about to get steamrolled, more ships off the coast of the Shield Islands, and Erik Coliron and the Riverland Rabblerousers getting steamed up.
I think we need to link up somehow. The north isn't going to be attacked by sea unless the Far Reach decides to declare for the enemy, or if the Basilisks bring even MORE ships from the west. We can afford to either bring more of our men down, or to come back up north and sit the war out. I defiantly thing we need to combine our forces, however.

Definitely, but we need to decide on how to divy up our forces in the north, and how many to bring south.
There is defintely an implied threat from Dagon. Seagard isn't that far from the north, and we shouldn't leave it defensless to the Ironborn.

I'd say leave at least 4000 if not more in the north and bring the rest to the south

I had a crackpot idea, feel free to ridicule me:
Take up Dagon on his offer. Smuggle Rickon out of King's Landing, and then backstab the Ironborn. Ask the Riverlanders if they would rather serve an Iron Man, or a Stark. And then use them to fight the invaders and the Harlaws. Once it's done, give up my crown, and let Rickon take back the throne.

There are a total of 13,000 men in the north. 2,500 are stuck on Bear Island or on the ships sailing around to the west coast for 3 months. Other than that, there are 500 along the Stoney Shore that are guarding the coast.
I think we can leave my 3,000 crannogmen in the Neck to guard for that 3 months, then bring another 2,500 down to reinforce them once the ships arrive.
That means we have 7,000 I can bring south, if we leave the 500 on the Stoney Shore. Leaving Gariss Stane in charge of the north would be a good idea. I think 5,500-6,000 men should be fine to guard us.

Alright, that sounds good.
We have two options: Keep the army left in the north decentralized, so that they can raid any invading army, and harry them.
Or two, gather them in one place, in the hopes they can defeat any landing army.

The numbers sound good Ollie.

I'd say keep 'em at Moat Cailin, to repel any land invaders, then after the ships arrive, we'll keep a few in Winterfell, for safety.

How about 1500 at Moat Cailen, with 4000 near the Rills to respond to any threat, and five hundred right on the coast?

I'd put maybe a little more stock in Cailin over the coast.
3000 Cailin, 500 coast, 2500 Winterfell/Rills?

Sounds good.
How fast can you get to the south?

I'll submit the orders now. Where should I head?

The Twins for now. We'll know more when you get there.

I'm marching down. Perhaps we should converge at the twins?

No, I need to march on King's Landing ASAP.
If my deal works, your Seven thousand will help the Riverlanders clear the area of Ironborn.
