What everyone thoughts and what should our actions be for this invasion from the far west?

This is my suggested course of action. Feel free to comment or suggest otherwise:
Divide our forces three ways:
One force to man Moat Cailen, under the command of Olander Reed, he knows the territory and can use it to his advantage.
A force led south to help the southron kingdoms, commanded by myself.
A reactionary force in the north, to respond to any possible landings, led my Lord Gariss Stane.
We should also make common cause with Coldiron, he has the largest navy north of the Neck, and though sworn to the Harlaws he would probably be able to help us.

I recommend the reactionary force stationed in the north be stationed at the Stoney Shore (and maybe a smaller force at Deepwood Motte or along Sea Dragon Point), or perhaps in the Rills if a keep exists there, or at Borrowtown in worst case.
I would also suggest that it might be worth noting a semi-permanent lookout being set up on Cape Kraken, to the west of Flint's Finger. I'm not sure if these foes would follow the coast, since they did seem to be able to cross the Sunset Sea and have such massive ships, but I figure it's worth a shot.
I'm submitting orders to raise all 3,000 men I have. I'll station 2,500 at Moat Cailin itself, and keep 500 in Greywater Watch, to harry any foes who come up the causeway.
I will play emissary to Erik Coldiron, if you wish.

Erik Coldiron would be in King's Landing, no?
Regardless of where he is, I think we shoul offer to reinforce his keep on Bear Island or at least evacuate its settlers to the mainland, in exchange for naval protection.

Umm....Olander, when did I give you a letter giving you Barrowtown?

I will have Olander's sister, Myrrah Reed, go talk to him, since she is currently in King's Landing.
What's your opinion on Cape Kraken, and rest of the Northern Defense?

You never gave me Borrowton, but you did give me a document that gave me a tract of north of the new seat at Moat Cailin. After a talk with Stranger, I realized that this would be effectively taking away land from both House Manderly and Dustin.

Ah, okay, nevermind then.
I'll just attribute it weariness of battle....or something....
I've just had another thought though.....
Perhaps you could entrust the command at Moat Cailen to another crannogman? I was thinking that perhaps I could send you south as my representative, and as an assassin to help the king.

That is certainly within the realm of possibility. I wouldn't be quick to bring any of crannogmen out of the Neck, because their ability to outside of the swamps will be greatly diminished. You can put anyone who you think might be useful in command of them at Cailin, and I can travel south with another force.
I don't think King Rickon is keen on assassination. I could lay some pretty mean ambushes, however.

Do you have a second that could be put in command?
And regardless of what Rickon may think, perhaps Benfry would be more keen.
Ambushes sound good as well, have you ever read the Ender series by Orson Scott Card?

My second is not skilled in battle, and my third is technically not on good terms with my first, as strange as that might sound.
I could put an NPC general in charge, but I'm afraid they would only be noteworthy in skill.
EDIT- No, I have not ready them.

In the series, detailing a future military school in which future generals start being given their military education at a young age, they fight war games against each other. Before the main character arrives (Ender), they are always fought in a detailed, characteristic pattern using formations. However, Ender changes this by designatign squad leaders, which can effectively operate on their own, with little input from the overall commander.
I have somewhat of the same idea for you.

Um, alright. Can you tell me exactly what the idea is for me, though?

Basically giving you a northern force, perhaps within the realm of five hundred men. Letting you have complete autonomy in the southern theatre of the war, and letting you damage the enemy as you see fit.
You can even divide your own five hundred men in much the same way as you see fit.
