Erik, upon hearing the news from Lannisport, rushes to the council's chambers.
"Well?" He asks, "When do we march, when do we sail? I don't know what these sons of bitches are, but we'll give them hell and more. And I always have wanted to attack Lannisport."

Lord Irwyn shakes his head he can hardly believe the news himself. "Well a better question is how many can march and when?" Alex says, "Not a single kingdom has more then a few thousand to call up. We will need an army as big as the Dornish invasion in short order or those monsters will push us into the sea."

"Indeed, indeed," Coldiron says, nodding, his eyes incensed, "I'm thinking this: Muster the Crownlands, the Mander, hell, everyone we can and have them march. Meanwhile, I take the Royal Fleet and sail around South, stopping at Storm's End and Oldtown to gather ships and troops. We'll send a raven to Dagon Harlaw, tell him to meet me at the mouth of Lion's Bay with the Iron Fleet. Take the fuckers from both sides at once."
OOC: To my knowledge, there's no name for the bay that Lannisport sits on, so now it's the Lion's Bay.

"Aye its a good plan, and we will need the Iron Islands for sure, although they have tens of thousands of soldiers and so they could have over 1000 ships, we can't know for sure. Even with the Iron Islands and the Arbor and all the other ships in Westeros we may still be out shipped. I would advise against a direct assault until we know more of them or if we can attack their fleet piecemeal then that would be a better option."

"Milord Irwyn, I can trust you to see to these arrangements?" The boy King asked intently.

"Indeed I have already sent the order to raise the Far Reach and Crownlands to your Banner and sent word for the others. I am sure that Lord Caron can talk to Lord Dondarron about raising your brother's men and Lord Tallahar will raise the Mander. In the meanwhile we will need some way of getting intelligence on the enemy and some way of slowing their advance until we summon our strength. It will be months before our full force is raised and I am not sure we have that much time."

Benfry studied a map of Westeros in front of him. "We need to know more about these invaders. Charging blindly and unprepared to fight a foe we know nothing about is foolhardy at best. Whilst we muster our troops we need to see if we can sneak a small force into Lannisport itself and learn what we can of them" he paused and thought a bit more "Perhaps more than one force" he said grudgingly "We must assume that this is somewhat of a suicide mission and to increase the odds of someone getting back with information, we may have to send in multiple teams. I am sure Ser Danwell Farring would be happy to lead one such band, but if you lords know of any other men for this task, I would welcome their help"
He turned to the Grand Maester's representative "In the meantime, I think we need to seriously consider using wildfire on the enemies ships. It is near uncontrollable once unleashed but, frankly, that suits our purpose. Whatever losses we take setting their fleet ablaze will hopefully be inflicted tenfold on our enemies. Again though, this is more likely a one-way trip for whatever captains agree to this mission. Lord Coldiron, can I rely on you to seek volunteers? I am sure there may be some westermen eager to avenge their families. I dislike using their grief and pain so, but these are desperate times"
He paused for a long, long moment before speaking again "Should we consider asking the other lands for aid? Our treasury is not inexhaustible but perhaps we can see what we can spare for more ships and men?"

ArchMaester Rollen cleared his throat.
"I hesitate to remind you, Lord Regent, but the great hall of the Alchemists was burned to the ground, and never rebuilt. There is at present no way to acquire any serious cache of Wildfire."

Benfry grimaced and muttered "I don't suppose we have any dragons?" he gestured irritably before the maester could respond "Nevermind. We will have to think of something else then"

Tallahar walked in with his hands behind his back. Taking a seat he looks around, "So we have been invaded."

Alexander looked at both slightly irritated, "Unfortunately this is not the time for such remarks, Erik as they are not very constructive, the same goes to you Tallahar" Alexander says.
"How quickly can the Mander be raised we will likely need every head."

"I meant no slight Lord Hand." Tallahar glares at the Lord Coldiron, "I have already started Lord Irwyn. To start off with I am only raising a small force of 15,000 that will be used to help defend Highgarden and Old Oak. Is there anything else I can do?"

"You can raise every man that can hold a spear, and some that can't besides, and march to war, of course." Erik says scornfully.
