Laren-- How familiar are you with what's happened with Piers Bettley (Lord Regent of the Realm)? Notably, how some of the evidence points to Horas, and how Horas now marches towards King's Landing at the head of 2000 men.

Well, i've read the threads and that Horas has increased his men.
House Royce and the Vale are true to the King and his Regent, right?

Yes, pretty much. Rhodri's aim is to keep the realm whole so as to fight the Others better. Peirs is married to Lillith and is our closest ally... Horas has also been a very close ally to us over time, which makes this thing muddy.
I think Horas is actually just marching in strength to protect himself, but if he is behind the attempted murder on the Beetle, then it's possible he could be trying to march on King's Landing to seize it. Though I cannot figure any reason he would want to, really.
That being said, Andry has quite a few troops on hand at KL, so that could just be contingency.

hm, this would be another reason to have Laren in KL since he has been recently up on the Wall and knows what's happening there. At least some.

You might've noticed that thing's have gotten a bit more interesting. The Lord Regent, his wife, and the King are being sheltered in the Eyrie. Not sure what all of that means, but it might be good that you didnt' get to KL before all of that...  |

perhaps you would feel like playing someone in runestone, to keep laren "entertained"
i guess it won't be a good idea just to walk up to the eyrie, saying "hello, i'm laren royce, nice to meet you".....

hehhehe, sure. I can play Jon Royce if you'd like to meet him, though he's kind of a douchebag. Alternatively I can play one of the youngsters training in the yard there... Whatever you'd like.
