Cedric smiled and bowed to the Queen, his niece. “Thank you for allowing me to see you today.” His eyes ran along the room, she had good taste. There was the customary Lannister opulence, but it was masked beneath a regal tone that fit her new station.
Jeyne smiled politely at her uncle and tilted her head as she asked, “What did you have to see me about, Uncle Cedric?”
Cedric motioned, and Swift rolled upon a parchment big enough to be a map. “Jeyne, I have heard about your noble works in the city, and I have decided that I wish to help you. I want to finance a group of healers, teachers, and guards called The Queen’s Men . They will travel the eight kingdoms teaching people to farm, healing the truly sick, and if needed eliminating bandits and the like.”
"It is an excellent idea! Though I think we shall call it, Jeyne's Company. It feels more natural, " Jeyne beamed, gazing over the map and marking a few extra spots. "It reminds me of Great-Aunt Lilith's healing band." Jeyne had grown up with tales of Lady Lilith's goodness, and her mother and Lilith had inspired her. She began to discuss her plans with Cedric.

“We will have three essential men in every group of the company. The Spy master.” Swift held up a finger as he explains the organization to Cedric, “He will be responsible for recruiting new agents and acquiring knowledge as he travels about. He will also always be in charge. Two,” Another finger rose, “The Swordsmen, most likely will also be the trainer. He will be training, locals and our men to handle them selves in a fight. And Three the Cartographer; we want better maps of the other realms and this is the best way to get them.”
Cedric nodded, “Also we will need a Maester, and maybe a Septon for the cover. It should work brilliant idea Swift.”

Jeyne said happily, “It has all come together neatly. I truly want to help every one I can. But who would be able to organize such an operation?”
Cedric smiled and turned to the bald man with a dark cloth wrapped over both eyes. He wears the multi-colored chain of a Maester. Lannister said grandly, “This is a Maester, Beltier by name. And he is amazing. He lost his sight so was asked to retire by his Lord. That fool’s loss is our gain. He is an organization mastermind, and quite the spokesman for our little cause.”
Beltier stepped forward, out of his assistants shadow and bowed to the Queen at almost the right angle. “Your Grace, I am honored to serve you in whatever manner you chose. But your uncle has explained the importance of the common folk to you, and I for one am overjoyed that the Realm's mother so loves.” His voice is strong and confident, with almost a regal quality of his own.

Cedric said, “So who is this Beltier?”
Swift chuckled, “A washed up and drunken Maester, but believe me none shall recognize that fact whilst they speak to him. He may be a fool, but he is such a grand old fool he will clearly fool all the high and mighty fools he speaks with.”
Cedric chuckled and asked, “Then who is running this for us?”
Denard spoke up for the first time, “A man named Werth. He is amazing at our game. And unlike the fool Yew dug up. He is a perfectionist who wants to be hidden in the shadows. He is good.”
Cedric smiled. Denard hated every one, so for him this little praise was high praise indded.

Cedric could tell that Jeyne liked what she was hearing from Beltier. Even Cedric was impressed with the man’s expansive knowledge and conviction. His deep voice rumbled along in a lecturing tone, but one that pulled you along with it instead of boring you in your chair.
Jeyne nodded and smiled as the man finished. Looking to Cedric she smiled at him, “This is wonderful, uncle. Wonderful.” Her hands were clenched in front of her with excitement.
Cedric looked her in the eye and then said, “As part of the Queen’s guard, I am sending 200 men from the west to be your personal guard.” He pointed to the last man who had accompanied him in, “Ser Jamie Foote will be in command of those men. And his sole duty is to protect you. He is your man now, listen to him. He knows war.” Cedric’s face shone down on hers with warmth.

Denard snarled, “Foote?”
Cedric nodded, “He is desperate to prove himself since his father’s treachery. Do not worry my friend he will do what I need of him. And all of his men are loyal to the Lion, and will do what ever I command; even if that were to throw the King from the highest tower.”
Yew laughed, “If it comes to that, then we are all dead men I think.”
Cedric nodded, “I have no intention of harming the king. But Foote will plan assaults with in the Red Keep just in case we have need of those plans some where down the line. A little wasted preparation never hurts.”
Denard and Yew both nodded, and then looked annoyed that the other had nodded also.
