I was thinking about reactions to the re-nstallment of Horas Martell Jr as Lord Paramount in Dorne, and this is what I came up with:
In Sunspear celebratory mobs take to the street cheering for the return of the Martells, and cursing their "Northern" lord. After brief but bloody fighting, Lord Hillcrest and his family are publicly lynched. His ten year old daughter raped and now disappeared.
Dornish rebels seize the keep of Ser Keldon Greenblood at Lemonwood, and are demanding the return of their rightful Lord Ackley Dalt.
Lady Aldercy Fowler submits a request to be restored as Lady of Skyreach, replacing the teen Wencel Fowler.
Revolts are supressed by "foreign" lords at Salt Shore, Starfall, and Kingsgrave.
Hergan Yronwood invades his neighbor Ser Edric Stackspear to reunite his lands.
I think those situations are varied enough that they will provide room for a number of different potential responses, while carrying the gravity of the situation well.
