If you want. I think she has a bigger scheme going -- she's hinting about control of the west in chat right now.

Well, she really wants control of the whole Realm. She wants to be Regent over a crowned Nymeria/Rickon.

I think that is WHY the betrothal is off. I think that is Piers' way of heading off her coup. As for Fossoway, I'm not sure, but he might.

I could write a freakin' essay on how unrealistic this bid for independence is, how little it resembles Robb Stark, and how slight the grievances are to justify treason. But I won't.
Just another thing turning me off the game right now.
Half those nobles should be plotting at removing Fossoway, returning the Reach to the King and becoming the new Regent for their troubles. Fossoway isn't a Tyrell, was named regent under suspicious and highly debatable circumstances, and has only been in charge a month or so. They should be looking to off him, not cheer him and the bastard baby Lord Tyrell.

I just had a thought - it's good to see that Francis didn't sign Barret's decree. 1) We will probably win this war against the Reach 2) If we win, we should try and get Francis as the new Regent 3) We should hint at this plan to Francis, to make him help us actively I had noticed that. Not sure what the best way is to cozy up to him. Through Roland, perhaps?

Fossoway and Barret before him loves to post that everybody loves him and is unanimous in their support. Hence all the "The whole Reach loves Barret" events that would periodically be posted.

Let's see what he's willing to offer. He's a pretty shrewd player himself. But let's also be wary of him acting as a double agent.
Oh, and Fossoway thinks Dorne has sided with him. Honestly, I'm not truly sure which way Emelia will go...she's clearly playing both sides.

I talk to him often, through IM. He's in a tough spot because he doesn't agree with the actions being taken, but cannot act directly against it because he thinks he'd just be burned out of hearth and home.
From a player standpoint he thinks it's unrealistic and stupid... from a character standpoint he's pretty sure it will fail and is stupid. Hhehe

Also, FWIW, Varner has Tyrell blood. and could be next in line, if something should befall Barret's children.

Wow. I'm actually surprised that Fossoway is keeping Callen as a hostage. Any pretense he had at moral highground (shaky to begin with) is thoroughly lost.

Quite. I think he's embracing his inner villainy.
What he doesn't realize is that Callen as hostage hurts him more than it helps him. It's an empty hostage situation -- if he kills Callen, he loses the hostage and any strength it gave him. Keep him alive, well, we come anyway.

Yes. He's in a bad situation. Seems it would have been better to "secede" when Callen wasn't there. Where is Lord Arryn, physically speaking, right now?

King's Landing, feeling slightly underguarded. Grafton will sail with the Vale's Navy as soon as the army is raised to join me.
