His offer came a couple days ago. Nothing to do with Donnel. I mentioned some interest in the Trade Agreement and was noncommital about marriage.
I will not be engaging Yohn or Saella to anyone, and Breyn is too young.

Jon is still engaged to the Blackwood family, in my mind. If Taria is no longer "available", she has a sister (and I don't mean Aerie).
As for what's up with that, I think Taria was brainwashed, ala Stockholm Syndrome, and her return will mask her disappearance as never having been a kidnapping. Make Barret seem innocent.

Not particularly interested in having either Petra or Belinda married off at this point either, Petra because she will want to have a say and Belinda because she is such a new baby.

Well, he addressed his letter to Garth Buckler, so Buckler said that Lord Arryn would need to be consulted. AKA I dodged.

It'll be a year before Selyse is old enough. And they might balk at the offer of a cripple.

Donnel has decided that Donnel is a major figure in the faith. But I wouldn't be assuming that the High Septon is going to die anytime soon. Comments in RP threads are often little more than wishing games. Unless it shows up in a scenario, I'm not buying it.

Barret just became an infinitely more interesting character.

It was about time he revealed something about his character. A lot more makes sense now.

So where is the "Barret is human after all" thread?

It's a scenario. He's a depressed cutter.

Interesting. My impression of Crake as a real live person is that he is tightly wound, be curious to see the scenario.

I think one of the things about Barrett/Crake by nature is that he is a plotter both in RPing and in that he has a pretty global sense of the game (i.e. plans to get rid of Callen). When he was king of the board he had specific things in mind...our current deities are much less likely to shift directions radically as Crake did.
One thing to think about as a family might be how we want things shifted in huge strokes and then figure out individual roles within the grand scheme.

Are you suggesting that we should be the instigator of major change? I think in a lot of ways we are -- no one is plotting as heavily along with the storyline about dragons and Others than we are. And that will become a huge focus.

He has said that in an RP conversation to Rhodri, actually. To leave it out on that form would have been an interesting oversight...though I suspect that was the very reason that question was on the thread.
I think as much as he might have wanted to find out about us, it was a deliberate vehicle to show a particular set of cards to us about himself. Don't take it too seriously. And no, neither you nor I revealed any weaknesses, as far as I am concerned.
