Flea took the glass in his left hand.
"Thank you Milord. We found him and killed him. Begging your lordship's pardon its probably just as well you don't know where he was, for... diplomacy, but he was living abroad. Made the mistake of going back to an old safe house he did."

Alexander nods, "Good work Flea, have you told the Lord Regent the good news?"

"Not yet Milord, but I was planning on it within the day or so." Flea said.

"Well its excellent news," Alexander sits, he had thought so long about how much he wanted the death of Horas Blackwood that now that it happened he did not know what to say. He looked around the room, "will his network die with him? Or is the rebellion he was planning going to continue with another?"

"In the end, Lord Crow's network was a very small handful of personally loyal men. They rented mercenaries and killers for anything that required real work. He may have some financial interests which will wither on the vine, or simply return to legitimate enterprise, but I'm not too worried." Flea said.

"There's some preliminary evidence that she was in Braavos meeting with Horas, and separate meetings also with the Sealord, but nothing to indicate she is reneging."

Alexander nodded, he would not feel truly comfortable until her head was in a burlap sack also.
"I heard some reports of an increase in crime in oldtown? What is this about?" Alexander said realizing that Flea likely had a part.

"Some problems with people sticking their nose where it didn't belong. Sorry for not handling it more artfully Milord." Flea said, sounded vaguely contrite. "A new network is getting up and spreading fast, and they needed to be taught to observe some boundaries."

"I see," Alexander scowled, "well I know you will do what you need to protect Lord Varner and Lord Hightower's interest but if your subtle hints don't work then let me know. I don't mind someone branching out until they are competing for the same ray of sun and if I need to slap them down as the Lord Hand then so be it." Alexander scowled, it would be the only perk of the job that he knew of.

"So far Lannister hasn't tried any additional moves, but if he does, we'll let you know." Flea said.

"Very well, I can't wait to announce the news about the Lord Crow at the next Small Council Meeting, it will be nice to have some good news to announce for a change. You intend to brief Lord Regent Smith ahead of time though correct?"

"Yes Milord. Lord Benfry and I have been... well not social, since his rescue, but some times he needs help, and he has no one to rely on. Except that Plumm bitch, but she doesn't count."

"How expansive is her network? She provides at least some information I think."

"She's nothing but another one of the Beetle's masks. She knows what he knows, or at any rate, what he wants her to know."
