Darien rose his sword, and Lord Sparr raised his spear, and the two began, circling. Darien slashed and parried, but could not get inside of the man's spear point. Finally seeing an opening he lunged, only to feel a sharp stabbing pain in his side. Darien did not have time to remark upon how much it hurt, as Sparr pulled the spear out again, taking chunks of flesh with it, and sending Darien to new heights of pain.

Blood pouring from his torso, Darrien struggled to keep his sword arm up, as the Reaver attacked relentlessly, his darting jabbing spear made Darien move quickly to avoid another stabbing.

Round 3:
Sparr: 116 (Average Wound, -25)
Darien: 149 (Heavy Wound, -35)

Sparr was overly cocky now, as he shortened his grip on the spear and moved in closer. But he had underestimated the Vale man, who paid the Reaver back in blood, slashing his badly across the shield arm.

Round 4:

Darien:154 (No result)

The two men continued to struggle, slashing and stabbing at each other with bloodthirst borne of single combat.

Round 5:

Darien:133 (Heavy Wound, -35)

Darien's blood was pumping out onto the hot ground now, and he struggled to keep his footing. But the Reaver captain was also slowing. The man lunged, and was slow to retract his spear. Darien capitalized, thrusting his sword deep into the man's bowls. Sparr grunted, and struggled to remaining on his feet.

Round 6:

Sparr was dead on his feet, and he knew it, so he lunged forward aggressively, trying to take his foe with him, but Darien knew he had the better of him now, and his cut went deep into the ironborn's side.

Darien: 119

Sparr struggled to stand, as Darien watche the man warily, since even in his death throes, a man was dangerous. As Darien moved to finish him off, he heard a shout, Asha screaming, and he turned his head, just as Sparr took one final lunge with his spear.

With a side step, Darien brought his sword back on reflect, and slashed the captain across the throat. The rings and scales on his armor jingled as he hit the ground dead.
