He had worked all night and now that it was morning, Yozs was one of the first to wake up. Walking down the stairs he nodded to the few guardsmen who had been up for the last few hours and were about to be relieved. Upon entering the kitchen he immediately went for the table where he had set down his dish. The paste from last night had now started to sprout about seven our eight pale blue little mushrooms. Yozs smiled as he grabbed his pincers and slowly plucked the mushrooms one by one and put them onto another dish. He then took the remainder of the paste and threw it away before grabbing two small bottles of strange liquid and a third, empty one. He poured three quarters of one of the bottles and five of the other into the empty one, then put a stopper on top. He would have to wait a while for the two liquids to completely mix, so he spent the time reading one of his many books on poisons. "Two create the poison that is 'The Black Salamander' one needs the following ingredients: 1 root of the wayhand oak, 1 fresh swordfish kidney, 3 drops of red poppy oil and 2 holmenuts. First the kidney must be punctured - it's contents filled into a small beaker. Add 2 drops of poppy oil and bring to the boil. Wait until the mixture has cooled, then remove the shell of both holmenuts and grate the nuts into the mixture. Stir well and bring to the boil anew. Upon taking off the fire, snap the root and let the liquid from inside ooze into the beaker. Stir again and add the last drop of red poppy oil. Bring to the boil for a third time, then let the mixture cool. The poison is now done."
Yozs looked up froms his book and judged the liquid had done it's deed. He opened the stopper again and slowly dropped the mushrooms in one by one, watching how they settled at the bottom of the bottle. He put the stop on again and slowly started a fire in the hearth. Once it was burning, he placed the bottle into a clay cylinder and put it in the fire. Now he would have to wait for around an hour, until the mushrooms inside the bottle had burst. Yozh got up and, grabbing his crossbow, went into the back yard. He didn't feel like serious practice, so he idly shot at some of the trees, before putting the weapon down and plucking one of the apples. He heard the door behind him open and was surprised to see Darien. "You should not be out here." "Relax, Yozs." Darien smiled as he flipped up one of his throwing knives and threw it at a tree, hitting it right in the centre. "You have been practicing some more?" Darien nodded and went to retrieve the knife. "Good. The poison will be done soon." Darien smiled as he too picked an apple and bit into it. "I do hope Yurie makes is appearance soon. It has been around a month since he promised to kill me. Two weeks since you killed those would be assassins." "Getting anxious?" Darien nodded again. "A little. I know he will choose the perfect moment to strike. We will have to be ready."
After finishing his apple, Yozs returned inside and carefully took the clay cylinder out of the fire, openin git and taking the bottle out. He took out the stopper and stayed clear of the smoke that shot out. He waited there, idly fiddling with his arakh until the liquid had cooled, then poured it from one bottle through a sieve and into another. He cleared the table before taking the bottle and shaking it well. He poured the poison into seven smaller bottles, to which he then added stoppers. He himself, Darien and five of the guards would all receive one of these bottle for the even that Yurie showed up. Smiling to himself Yozs put the bottles into a sack and pulled it shut. Now they were ready.
Yozs advances to Noteworthy Poison.
Yozs creates a poison that will make the victim's eye sockets itch fiercely, causing them to claw at their own eyes. The effect will subside after around ten minutes.
