Darien looked intently at the men and women he had gathered in this room. He was told it used to be a cobblers shop, but now it stood empty; It was perfect. "So, if a note with three red circles on it slips under the door it means what?" Regan, a burly blacksmith lifted his hand. "It means another spy is onto us." A thin smile appeared on Darien's lips and he nodded. "Right. Now, you all have different responsibilities." He looked first at Lyessa and her four ladies of the night. "I am sure you ladies are experienced in making men... babble stuff they shouldn't. Lyessa will be in charge of gathering all her information and handing it to Lily." He looked at the small, unassuming orphan girl. "Your legs are fast, so I can trust you to bring the information back here. Now, Tarryk, Joff and Herrald." Darien turned to the three tough-looking men. "As sellswords it shouldn't be too hard finding employ at some tavern or brothel. Keep your swords sharp and your ears sharper. Your contact person will be Garlan." He nodded at the young boy who worked as town cryer in the poor district. "Mel and Cat." He indicated the two young sisters. "Taverns also look for serving girls. I would say 'The Hunters Blow' and 'The Sun's Sting'. Your information will be carried back by old Tom here." Old Tom was well into his sixtieth year and spent his time telling stories in local taverns. "Finally, Leoff." Darien looked at the young minstrel. "You're lute is highly thought of, so find yourself an employ in one of the more rich establishments. Regan here will make sure your information comes through to me." Darien's birds all nodded as he poured some wine for all of them. "Now, we will go back to messages. A red scythe?" "Assassin hired." someone replied. "A green flower?" "Spy has entered the city." And so on it went for another hour.
After his whisperers had left, Darien reclined in a chair and shut his eyes. These picture messages were not the only thing they would communicate with. Darien had established an alphabet that had been learnt by all of his servants, which they would use to write longer messages with. He hoped it was enough to keep his small organization from being too easily detected.
After resting for a while Darien rose and made his way upstairs, whistling to himself. His guards were posted everywhere, and Yozs awaited him at the top of the stairs. "Is it set up?" Darien asked his friend and the man nodded in reply. Entering one of the rooms, he could see that it was so; The wooden mannequin that one of his guards had found in a back alley was leaning against the wall, a few cuts and holes already present on it's surface. Darien took one of his daggers and took a moment to aim, before throwing it at the mannequin. The dagger hit it's target hilt first and clattered to the ground. "Milord, if I may?" Darien turned and saw one of the guardsmen standing behind him, his own dagger in hand. "You must hold it much lower and not have such a tight grip on it." The guard showed him and Darien, having taken out a new dagger, did as he was shown. "You will want to be able to throw under and upper arm, but let us first trip upper arm." The guard got into position and indicated for Darien to do the same. The guard let fly first and his dagger sank deep into the mannequins wooden chest. Darien, keeping in mind how the guard had done it, threw the dagger and managed to hit a glancing blow to the dummies arm. "Good. Keep at it milord, and you will be able to hit it's head in no time."
After nine more tries Darien finally managed to score what would have been a killing blow and retired back downstairs.

It was well into the night and Yozs was patrolling around 'The Sun's Sting' when he spotted the man. Almost instinctively he leaned into the wall, staying in the shadow of the large building and waiting until the man walked past. He was of average size, with a skinny frame and a foxlike look to him. He did not like the site of him at all. As the man was further down the street Yozs went to follow him, staying against building and using every street light and wall as cover. Many years ago he had learnt a trick about walking silently; It involved setting the heel down first and then slowly rolling the rest of the foot to stand on the floor. He made sure to move swiftly as the man he was trailing seemed to have something very urgend to do.
Yozs followed the man towards a small house that lay somewhat out of the way and waited until he entered. He then slowly moved towards the window and waited for a moment before pulling out his dagger. He croutched down and slowly slid the dagger under the frame of the window and lifted, only enough to make a small crack which he could hear through. "...has found 'imself a place." he heard a thin voice say. "Well, he couldn't stay at 'The Hunters Blow' safely any longer." answered a deep and gruff voice. "What's he doin' there?" "No idea. Probably just tryin' to stay safe. Yurie's a capable fella... he'll get in there." Yozs's ears pricked up at the mention of the assassin. "He won't have to. Lyas and Gendry are already waitin' for ya at 'The Crown'. You're to enter his house and kill 'im."
That was all he needed to hear but Yozs stopped himself from leaving. There might be some important information. "Lyas and Gendry?" the thin voice asked. "Who're they?" "New guys, from King's Landing. You'll figure out who they are easy enough." Yozs almost smiled as he heard this. He sheathed his dagger and swapped it for the Arakh, then slid down the side of the house and kept his ears out for the door. Around five minutes later the door opened and Yozs could hear footsteps coming his way. He pressed himself as tight into the wall as he could and waited. He waited for the man to walk past, then crep up behind him and, shoving his hand over his mouth, stabbed the man through the spine. The would-be assassin went floppy immediately and Yozs carried him to the back of the house, where there were some stacked crates. He hid the body behind them and made his way to 'The Crown'.
It was only upon entering that Yozs realised his mistake. 'What the hell am I called?' He thought about that as he strode towards the two men who were obviously Lyas and Gendry. Fortunately, the two men wasted no time, and immediately upon seeing him approach them got up and walked towards the exit, giving him a grim nod on their way past. Yozs turned and followed them out. No words were said as they walked back to the old cobblers house that Darien now inhabited, however once they were on the right street the two men stopped. "Been told there's two entrances." One of them said. Yozs nodded, waiting to find out how much these two actually knew. "Boss said there's about three guards or so. Shouldn't be hard to overpower 'em." Yozs smiled on the inside, wondering how these two were going to overpower fifteen guards. "Gendry, you and Nyles here will take the front foor, whilst I wait at the back. Once you get in, open the door for me." Yozs nodded and followed the two men as they set off again.
As Yozs and Gendry approached the front door they waited for Lyas to go down the long alleyway and walk to the back of the house and reach the back entrance. Since they would not be able to hear when he got there, they had to estimate, before walking towards the front door. Yozs let the other man get ahead of him, then unsheathed his Arakh and lunged at him. Gendry however was quick to have his own sword out and parry Yozs's swing. "Who the fuck are you?" The man growled at him, before taking the offensive. Yozs parried the man's clumsy swings, then sidestept and cut the man deep in the leg. Gendry howled and grabbed his sword in both hands, whirling around to bring his wrath on Yozs. The assassin merely stept aside again, before swinging up and to the side, cutting Gendry's throat. He didn't wait for the man to hit the ground before tapping the secret code on the door and being let in. The guard who opened for him looked at the body on the floor, but Yozs put his finger to his lips and slowly walked to the back door.
As he opened it, Lyas stared up at him. "We good?" Yozs smiled and shoved his Arakh into the unsuspecting man's chest, piercing his heart. "Yes."
