"In Braavos, there is no trial by combat." He laughed, "That arcane law is a rather bizarre measure of juris prudence, but fits your 'might makes right' Kingdoms perfectly."

Aranya had forgotten about that. "Well, it is not a great measure of justice," she agreed grudgingly. "But if you think you can make me believe that your little pet judges will be any more fair, then you're a fool. I am not going accept that "justice" either."

"Of course you have the right to disagree with my judges even as they lead you down to the Headsmen." The Sea Lord replied.

"Look, your trial is not going to be any more just than a trial by combat," Aranya smiled at Clegane. "If your new dog tucks his tail between his legs at the thought of fighting me, I'll be happy to take on any of your older pets. Oh, send me Nero, please."

The Sea Lord shoke his head, "I have no interest in allowing you to fight for your freedom."

Aranya glared at him. She wished she could reach over and strangle him.

"Come back," she snapped. "What do you want from me?"

The Sea Lord turned, "What makes you think I want anything from you. Other then pure and total humilation. You murdered innocent men, for no reason accept they would not help you commit murder. Your slew City Watchmen in the Streets of my City. I can not think of a single reason to even commute your punishment, let alone absolve you of guilt."

Aranya looked disgusted. "Since when do you give a fuck about murdering innocent men? And they were not innocent. They were your hired soldiers, not fucking civilians."

The Sea Lord laughed, "Most of the men you murdered were City Watchemen, what the call Gold Cloaks in King's Landing. They patrolled the streets and enforce the laws. I thought some one was going to murder the Targaryen so I assigned them the job of protecting him. Almost forty of them died on that night." He points a finger at her angrily, "If I did not think it would cause them a great deal of grief I would parade them down here so you could see the remnants of the families, the Mothers, and sons and daughers. The Brothers and Sisters and cousins of the men you killed. You will see them at your trial, where they will get to speak."

Aranya stared at him in disbelief. "Do you think I give a fuck? Do you think I believe you give a fuck? Seriously? Are you jesting with me?"

"Well then it is time for some true justice." The Sea Lord snarled, "I will kill eighty men and women of Duskendale chosen randomly. They will die from poison, dagger and bolt. After that is done, I will release you."

Aranya shot to her feet. "Come here and say that again."

The Sea Lord gave nor took any ground. He stood still, perfect balance evident in his face, "Why? Could you not hear me?"
