Kobeyr wound his way through the streets of Braavos on his way to the Royal palace. A summons had been sent for him, though it was vague, and did not detail the reason he was needed.
It was near mid-day as he approached the impressive entrance, and was greeted by the suspicious looks of the many guards who idled around the gates. When he showed them the slip of paper he had been given by the messenger who had delivered his summons, the gate was opened, and he was allowed entry.
One guard grumbled as Kobeyr walked past him, "You're late," in a gruff, angry voice, thick with a Braavosi accent.
Three seperate guards accompanied him to a small parlor, to which he was admitted, and found himself in the company of two single women, only one of which he knew; Princess Tristeza Martell had already begun conversing with the strange woman, who eyed him as he arrived. Kobeyr had assumed he had been summoned to act on behalf of the Princess in some form or another, but could not have imagined for what purpose.
When the woman was identified as Myrie, Tristeza explained that they would be paired together on a trip to Godsgrace, and try to find employment at the keep, so that they would be able to report on the wherabouts of Northern forces, who had taken that keep as their headquarters in Dorne. They would be the only two going, she said. They were to depart as soon as their meeting was concluded--there was a ship waiting for their transport in the harbour.
