We still don't have a Lord. Perhaps our dear NPC father could expire in the night from some mysterious disease?

So eager to take the title, eh? It doesn't seem like anyone is about to jump up to claim him.

Not a bad idea to have him die...though you could have him killed off by somebody (read: Lannisters) in a scenario if you wanted to stir up trouble. Hmmm....maybe some heroic death would be good. The same "Tyrell" train shows up at the door as did at the Starks and he fights them off but comes to his own death. My Elspeth Stone is up in the Vale and could hold the fort while you were poncing around KL.
I like the idea of getting rid of him, though, as I wouldn't be keen on somebody coming in in the middle as a lord, a newbie would be better as another son, daughter or cousin.

That's a good point Lilith. With our "storyline" underway it would be awkward for somebody to come in out of the blue as the Lord and start bossing us around. Breyn has already been playing that role for our House, we might as well make him Lord. But make Lord Alyn Royce's death worthy of our lord and father!
We do have to be concerned with other alliances forming between the houses. Lord Stark is working very hard right now to join Stark with Tyrell, and while I've gotten us a bit closer to the Hand, a Tyrell is about to marry the crown prince. Everything is looking good for Starks and Tyrells and we could end up out in the cold.
ETA: Perhaps something could be done to derail the Baratheon-Tyrell wedding.

Sounds good to me. Those evil Lannisters. How dare they! Or it could be the Tyrells.

I always thought Starks were too "goody two shoes" to be real

Have we decided to off Lord Royce or not?
We don't want a new player to grab him.

I wonder whether we could officially declare him NPC cuz I thought of a fabulous use for him while swimming today (very unRoycean of me, I know ). He could sacrifice himself in order for the dragon eggs to hatch, that one last final gesture for the kingdom. In line with that, I'm gonna write a scenario for Evangeline where she reads old manuscripts presumably to find out how to do this.

I agree with Ser Jon, we should kill him off now. He makes all the descisions for our house, but as an NPC, that would be kind of difficult to do. Who wants to write up the scenario? If you do, make sure that you only imply that he was killed by one of the Major Houses (other than House Lannister) becuase we don't want to come in conflict with any of them at this particular juncture. There are certain things in the works that would make it a mistake to rile up any of the great houses. It would be better if he simply died of some illness in the night. I could write up the scenario if no one has any objections.

What, Moi? This is so unexpected. Thank you. I am sure I will be a kind and benevolent ruler.
