A number of wives and maidens from the feast complain of illness similar to that of the children, dry itching throat, and feverish heat. Although Maester Harrion works tirelessly, he can not save them. Twenty ladies and maidens in waiting die, including Alyana Connington, and Lady Gysella Harlaw.
Lady Aleza Payne also falls drastically ill, but Maester Harrion is able to save her with a mixture of herbs. She will be very ill and weak for some time.
