In a jousting tilt, both men trying to improve their skill, with no intentions of hurting one another.
This is taking place in the training yard at Godsgrace, where both Dornish and Reach knights currently reside. His opponent NPC is most likely noteworthy, at the very least apprentice.
Robb Tarly (expert lance)

I should note, for any council member who has read this, I meant to write improve their skill, not prove their skill. It is corrected above.

Robb is expert, Daeron Sands is apprentice
Round One
RT:175 DS:81 (heavy hit to Sands)
As the two charge towards each other, Lord Tarly shows the greater technique and training of the reachmen against the hapless dornish squire he is facing. Proof, if any more were needed, that nearly all the decent fighting men of Dorne perished in the recent conflict.
Daeron is lifted bodily from his horse and crashes painfully down onto the dirt with his terrified horse also driven to the ground by the thundering force of the blow. He howls in pain as the horse rolls over his legs, breaking one of them badly.
Lord Robb Tarly defeats Daeron Sands

Thank the inept Daeron Sands. He's lucky he didn't die.

It's not my fault we killed all the Dornish. And I did say the "NPC was most likely noteworthy"... But, hey, can I have a re roll against an expert lanceman? That would make it interesting. Hopefully I won't die.

The reason I went for apprentice rather than noteworthy is because most "noteworthy" or higher soldiers would be dead! Certainly all the 'nameless' ones. You want to risk a joust against Ramsay Qorgyle then you might have a contest. And if you happen to die in an 'accident' so much the better I'm sure he'll think

Isn't he like GM or Legendary? That is just as much as difference or more than my Expert vs Apprentice.

Yeah, but its the opposite difference. Roland wouldn't improve, but you might, assuming he doesn't kill you.

He could fight Rodney Blackbar. He would be noteworthy (well never published) but I always RPed him as a calvarymen so I think he should have decent skill having survived a number of major battles and he is still with the Army.

Noteworthy for Blackbar, largely cause he's got that sexy mustache that every cavalry-man should have.
