The note that is mentioned in the scenario are instructions for the woman to have Lysandre leave Braavos and ride east to remain undetected until her child is of age.
Entering the tiny room with the woman, Beric looked around to see if anyone had been watching him. From what he
could see there was no one there but then again Beric wasn't the most perceptive man in the world. It didn't matter.
The small room itsself had a table and two chairs inside it, as well as a curious small slit in the wall behind
one of the chairs. Seeing Beric notice it, the woman gave a short laugh. "Used to have a crossbowman behind it.
This room used to be the private room for some smugglers, and if they didn't like the business deal someone was
propising, well then they'd get a bolt to the back."
Beric sat in the chair infront of the slit and felt just a tiny bit uncomfortable. "So, what do you want to talk
about?" the woman asked. For all the planning he had done, Beric hoped he would be able to get the words out.
"Aryanna is dead." For a moment the woman didn't comprehend, perhaps not remembering the little girl that had
near always been by his side when he worked here. Then her eyes welled up a little and she put a hand on Beric's.
"I am so sorry, Beric. She was a pretty little girl and surely a beautifull woman. If there is anything I can..."
"Yes, there is." Beric had to demonstrate that he was the dominant one, otherwise it would never work. "When last
I worked here you had a daughter. Lysandre I believe her name was. You constantly offered for her to be my wife
one day and bare my children, yet I declined, only wanting Ary." Beric swallowed. "I have now come to accept the
proposal." A frown appeared on the womans face. "Not the marriage," Beric continued. "just the children." The frown
turned to a look of incredoulesness. "My Lys is allready promised to another man. She is to wed him within the
month." "A man she has never met, or is that not the truth?" Beric knew Braavos, especially this part, and how
marriages were aranged. "That is none of your business, Ser." Now he knew he had her. "It's Lord Dayne now.
My family was killed and I am the only man of my line. If I return to Westeros I will be the lord of Starfall.
Even if it is a bastard, would you feel nothing if your wife carries the child of a lord?" Quickly switching moods
Beric's face took on a more concerned look. "That is if I do return. I am a wanted man, only the other day some
men tried to murder me. If I die then the glorious Dayne family will be forever gone. Dawn and Starfall will go
to some worthless family and Dorne will be empty of a great and old family."
For a moment the woman remained quiet. "What exactly is it that you propose?" On the inside, Beric smiled. "If
I manage to make a child then my family does not have to end. The bastard could be one day legitamized and then
my family can live on. The only reason I do not want marriage is because I once vowed to marry only one person
and that was Aryanna. Now that she, and my unborn child are dead... well, it looks pretty dark for me." The
upset look returned to the womans face. "I... I did not know she had been carrying. Oh, dear Beric, this is
dreadfull." "It is, however, your daughter could be mother to a great man. A man who will one day be lord of
Starfall and the Sword of the Morning. I wish you to please accept my proposal." Silence again. "What if it is
a girl?" "It makes no difference. Dorne has a different view of male and female inheritance. There have also
been stories of great women who were knights." The woman looked to be in deep thought. Then she put her hand in
her pocket and pulled out a key. "Upstairs, the green door. It is her room. Do not worry, she will not say no.
She is in fear of marrying this man and... has many pleasent memories of you." Beric accepted the coin and then
pulled a note ouf of his pocket. "This I want to be read by you and only you. There are some important instructions
on there which are to be carried out once Lysandre is pregnant." The woman nodded, took the letter and shoved it
into her cleavage.
After the business was done, Beric decided to head home. Lys had looked astonished when he entered her room but
Beric had been gentle to the girl. He hoped that it had been enough for he to become pregnant, otherwise he would
have to return on a later date; something he did not want to have to do. As he walked through a small alleyway
he saw three men step out of the shadows infront of him. A quick glance back showed that there were two more
behind him. Beric was no longer bothering to keep Dawn hidden; it seemed all of Braavos allready knew he had it.
Yet for the moment he kept it sheathed. He might be able to talk his way out of this. "So, seems like you's the
man we've been looking for." one of the men said. They were all carrying short sword and Arakh's, so Beric guessed
they were not from Braavos. "Depends on who you are looking for." Beric replied. The man who had first talked gave
a snort. "Some bleedin' lord. Dayge or Drayne or something like that. Told us what he looked like and the description
fits you. Get him, boys."
The man behind Beric had only just managed to lift his weapon when Dawn cut him in half. The man next to him tried
to lunge at Beric, but managed to skewer himself instead. The white sword swung around in an arc, too fast for
the assassins to see, and one of the men ended up headless. A scream announced another attacker, and Beric deprived
the man of his arm, before cutting the top of his head off. The last man standing was the one who had spoken.
He had a look of extreme wonder on his face, and the front of his pants were wet. "G-gods! What ARE you!?"
With a grin Beric lifted his sword. "Why, I am the Sword of the Morning." he answered, before bringing down
Dawn on the man's head.
