Ser Garlan Swann is the young heir to Stonehelm, and was a childhood friend as well as good-brother to Ser Grant Connington. He marched with Ser Grant to the War in Dorne, but took a wound at Yronwood and missed the rest of the fighting while abed.

Jason Dondarrion is a younger cousin of the Lord of Blackhaven. He is currently squired to Ser Grant Connington.

Lord Lydos Wylde is the current Lord of Rain House. He served Lord Caron as a squire, with Ser Grant Connington and the two developed a strong friendship, but left the lord's service when he inherited his own lordship in 518. He served in Dorne under Lord Dondarrion, but did not particularly distinguish himself in battle.
