A letter arrives for the young lord of Winterfell, with the flayed man of the Boltons pressed on the seal.
My lord, you have probably heard it by now, but Karhold has fallen to Skagosi plunderers. According to the survivors, the entire garrison was killed, though some bodies have been found missing, which leads me to believe some men and women where abducted. I have send scouts wide and far when i heard the news, but there is no sign of the raiders, they have probably returned to Skagos. Do make sure the mainland is safe as of now. I have send some scouts who will stay at Karhold, but it is not enough, for they will attack another place when they return. Placing a part of your own army in Karhold under an able commander would be a wise course. Have them rebuild the castle, and build watchtowers over the coast to keep an eye our for Skagosi. If they are to attack again, we must be informed.
And if Karhold is restored and defended well, it can be used as a base to start future campaigns against Skagos from. Please make the necessary arrangements, and send me a reply.
