"A guide? Yes, of course, we must find a guide," Alliser said, flustered.
Dacey was gazing at Ser Mimseval incredulously. "Does he have a lobster on his shield?"
Alliser gazed at Erik wrathfully. "When our Quest is done, pirate, we shall protest against your vile ungodly presence before our innocent boy king, rest assured."

"Well then, sers, best of luck on your quest! I do hope you will return West soon, I shall so enjoy seeing your protestations."

Dacey was laughing as the knight turned on his heel and went back to the other strange knight. "Pentos draws the strangest folk, it seems," she said. "Which explains why my lord is here," she twinkled.

Erik sits back down and raises an eyebrow to her. "My lady is in Pentos as well. And one who keeps strange company is often strange, herself."

"Or perhaps she is strange to desire such company," she teased. "Godless pirates."

"Ah, yes; I'd forgotten how very godly you are yourself."

Dacey grinned. "I worship the Drowned God. Perhaps we should build a temple to him here in Pentos. Wouldn't that cause a stir?" She relished the thought.

"I imagine it would, if only the Drowned God had any temples on land. There are hundreds of them floating out in the harbor, though. Every ship is his, as well as everyone aboard."

Dacey was gazing out onto the street. "We've seen enough of the sea. Can we go shopping?"

Erik rolls his eyes. "Of course, dear. You can get whatever you like. I can't wait to see you in some Eastern fashions."

"Yes!" Dacey took him by the hand and drew him out onto the streets.

Dacey and Erik returned to the inn after a day's shopping, and the innkeep showed them up to a large room, comfortably furnished, with a fire going. Dark was falling.

Erik tosses the day's purchases on a chair, then sits on the bed and removes his boots. He then lies back, and gives a contented sigh. "I do believe this is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever laid on."

"It must feel all the nicer after a day out in the sun, carrying my new things," Dacey smiled, shrugging out of her gown. "But I can make it more comfortable still." She slid over on top of him and began to rub his shoulders. "It is strange those two mad knights were talking about dragons in the inn. In the bazaar too, some people made jokes about a dragon in Braavos."

"Well, you never know," Erik says, unconvinced, "But I'll believe it when I see it. I've got more important things to worry about than winged, fiery lizards swooping out of the sky."
He lifts his head a bit to get a look around the room. "Like whether this room has a decent sized tub, for example."
