To my Beloved People of Dorne--the few of whom remain;
A horrific tragedy has taken place in the capital of our beloved Kingdom. Though a precious few of our Dornish brothers were able to escape the wild inferno set ablaze by Lord Alexander Irwyn, the vast majority of Sunspear's population was exterminated by the invading forces of the north. My only sister was among the victims, as were your sisters, and mothers, and sons and nephews, and cousins.
We have all sufferred a tremendous loss during this war. Our Naval commander lost a wife and an unborn child to the mindless bloodlust of the northern Army. Our homes have been burnt to the ground, and our families and friends slaughtered as cattle by an army who would take both our land and our lives for no reason but to increase their Kingdom's land-mass.
We are a peaceful people. We have never incited the wrath of the north--yet they would intrude upon the sacred soil of our ancestors; would see crumble or burn the homes our fathers built for us.
The time for peace has ended; we are a people obstinant in the face of adversity. Strong in the face of sorrow. We will stand no longer for the senseless killing of our loved ones, the mindless destruction of our property.
Stand with me, Dorne--fight the aggressors; strike them down in their bloody steps.
Kill Alexander Irwyn as he has killed your parents and your children. Stand not for me, if you would not, for I will stand for myself, and for the life of my son. Stand rather on your pride, and on your principles.
Stand for those we have all lost. Stand for Dorne.
My love, and best of wishes;
Princess Tristeza Martell,
who remains with you; Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken.[/
