While reprovisiong in the Tor, Elijah meets Hanover and Oberyn Santagar. After introductions, they speak at length about Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper of Dorne (because of they share a name). The Santagar's profess their Martell loyalty and Elijah thanks them for that.

Because of the razing of Sunspear, Elijah suggests to Hanover that he and his son make for the Free Cities and to remember the sacrifices made by their countrymen for the freedom of Dorne.
