So Breck was bitching because I didn't accept his character's improving to Master after a single scenario about the Yronwood battle. He claimed I was applying much harsh standards on level improvements than is historically accurate for the game. So I told him I'd talk to you about it.
my general policy has been:
Beginner-Expert: Can be improved by a single scenario. Master- Can be improved to Master after 2-3 scenarios. Grandmaster- can be improved to grandmaster after 2-3 scenarios, plus a situation which puts characters life at substantial risk. Legendary- Must do something Legendary in a life threatening situation.
Is this too harsh? Do we need to elaborate this policy somewhere publicly? I like having a more flexible policy, because someone who writes one scenario of 10 pages which is captivating, and someone who writes 2-3 short "tytos" scenarios should not be judged the same.

No... I am fine with it. It is the standard I have always used. Its a cake walk to you want the word Master then I start dragging my feet.

Okay. He was trying to tell me that I wasn't upholding the standard of the site, but a harsh standard of my own, and I was saying i was only doing it as understood it was supposed to be done.
I will feel comfortable continuing as I have been.
