Aranya looked at Lord Tallahar and smiled, trying to relieve the tension. "It won't be necessary, my lord. I think Ser Marq understands?" she raised her eyebrow.

"True but there this is still a very important matter. House Tyrell's honour has been tarnished and I wish to speak to you about removing that Tarnish."

"No need to falay the boy over a simple inquiry," Aerie said suddenly. She knew the gaffe was much more than that, but she could not help but jump to his defense.
She grew her brother a glare of pure venom and hissed, "I think you should sit down, Graham."

Mag watched the events in utter confusement. He turned to Valla for an explanation. "What is it this young girl-man has done?" he asked, frowning.

Rhae flushed as Marq Tyrell left the room, and tried to excuse herself, but Aranya did not allow her to leave.
"Hush," Mallery said. "Sit quietly, dear."
"There is no need, my lord. I do not hold House Tyrell in disgrace for a young man's passion. I can forgive this folly," Aranya said.
Aranya looked at Aerie strangely. Aerie had changed a lot, Aranya realized. She had grown, and there was sadness in her, and wisdom too. "I agree," Aranya said.
Then she leaned forward. "Aerie," she said. "I heard about Seth - he was attacked on his way here, wasn't he? I wanted to offer to send out search parties."

Graham misinterprets the glance and gives Aerie a grin. "Why would I sit down, lil' sis? Love's a wonderful thing, right?" He squints at her suspiciously. "You get married yet, sis? I keep telling you no man'll want you if you keep toting that sword 'round."

Mag watched the events in utter confusement. He turned to Valla for an explanation. "What is it this young girl-man has done?" he asked, frowning. "It sounds like he loves another man's girl," Valla shrugged. "These people have strange customs."

Mag nodded. "Then the girl-man must fight for her and win her, or die." He had seen the cold looks and the expressions of distaste and disgust the southerners had thrown their way since their arrival. "These people love us not, either." Speaking in the old tongue to Maez Stonehead and Olf Stonesoar, he said, "I wish we could eat some hearts, stoneborn."

Tallahar nodded and sat down.

Aerie shook her head miserably. "I already looked. Even Nemesis could not locate him. I-I know what that means, Aranya. Thank you for...well, thank you."
The woman's head snapped up at her brother's drunken comment, her face darkening in fury. "Graham, if you don't shut your mouth and sit the fuck down, my sword will ensure that no woman will ever want you either."

"That would make it worse," Valla said. "Best to not get involved in their stupid customs. They are savages and strange."
Aranya's mouth twitched at Graham's words. He would never change. Mallery took his hand and said, with a grin, "If your sister carries out her threat, dear, I am going to be very sad."
"I know what it's like," Aranya murmured to Aerie. "You should stay with me, until things get better."

"Hardly," Graham scoffs at Aerie, "Not even Vuh... valuh... v'leryon steel can cut through a Blackwood. So have no worries, Mal." He kisses his wife, then sits down carelessly next to Aerie, dislodging the bench's former occupant.
"Y'know," Graham continues drunkenly, refilling his goblet, "It's bad to always be so angry, lil' sis. You should be happy some time, might do you some good. Gods know I've never seen you with a smile on your face."

"Now there's a man who appears to be a match for Lord Oliver tonight," Robb said to Lysette, amused, referring to the Blackwood man.

"It's bad to always be so stupid, you drunken idiot. This wine is not going to set anything right. Perhaps you've never seen me smile because you were either too busy pinching me or sneaking off with the maids," she snarled in disgust, inching away from him. "It's no wonder the Blackwoods have fallen so far, with you swaggering around as one, completely drunk off your ass."

Lady Connington looked at Graham, appalled, as he dislodged her to take her seat beside Aerie.
Lysette Tarly chuckled. "If his sister cuts his cock off, we might be in for some entertainment."
Aranya shook her head and grinned to herself. Graham did love to provoke Aerie. Though that had been the same as her, once long ago. How things changed.
