Irwyn has asked me what effect this will actually have game-wise. Since most food will have to be grown locally, as there is no refrigeration, I don't think it will starve them out. It will however probably put the lords in a degree of hardship, the longer they go on, as luxury items from the free cities become unavailable. The small folk probably won't noticed or be agitated, but the lords probably should feel the pinch.

I wouldn't post any grumbling or the like for another couple game months though.

Thats exactly what I told Tristy, but I think the Lords have really good Morale right now, because I think most were unhappy when she bent her knee to the Crown. So I think you are right unless she starts some propaganda connecting the shortages with sacrafice for freedom.
