Just a little discussion and/or strategy.
What will Patrek and Brandon be looking to do here?
I'd like Roland to get to know Patrek and King's Men. Roland will also be working very hard to get his bastard wife legitimized... as that's most of what he cares about these days.
Odhar himself will just be looking to represent the Vale and the realm. He believes that the Riverlands should be taken from the Blackwoods and their influence reduced to very little. Also he'll be looking to find someone that his youngest son, Scot, and squire for.

Hmm Patrek will probably discuss King's Men business with Benfry, arranging some smaller crossbows, quicker to reload though not so high firepower for fireing in corridors and cramped spaces.
Brandon will probably play some songs for noble ladies, inform them that he have a meeting with some of his "entertainer" (read spies) friends in Braavos and that they are maybe as good as him and that they'll be around Westeros as Braavos has gotten to small for them to play. I don't think I'll try to set myself up as Master of Whispers, though if the chance is there I might just do it.

I might come with a jest or two about lords wanting rewards for doing their jobs properly like a simple dog, though it'll be whispered and not said outloud, though other than that Brandon will keep a low profile.
Also agree that the Blackwoods should've decreased importance in the Riverlands, losing Riverrun and Harrenhal

And much of their land about their own keep. Odhar's branch of the family developed a very clear dislike and no respect for the Blackwoods after the last war, which of course has plummeted further now.

Guess the whisperer job is almost a shoe in. though I would have to report to you anyway so I guess it doesn't matter that much. On a second thought don't suggest me as whisperer, might as well have me as the unofficial.

Yeah i was thinking it would be best to use Brandon as a personal whisperer, rather than the official one. Better for Roland, who's useless with that, and better for the Vale.

No doubt you will be taken good care of in the Keep. Patrek knows a secret way out now and will make some plans regarding protecting the keep and fleeing it if deemed necesarry.
