I'm not sure how relevant it is in game terms, compared to like, Horas' former network, or Piers, but I'd like to leave Flea with the levers of control on the Varner network, so that he can be used as an npc funnel of information. I suppose vanity is one reason, but also because I want to have a method for bringing my brother Alex further into the game. He's felt sort of left out in the past two wars, and I'd like to bring him more into the circle of play by having a method of keeping his character informed.
Of course whether the young spy takes on agendas of his own if we need foils or plot jumpers is something to discuss later.
Basically I'm thinking a much less suave Piers, to facilitate adventures for the more noble characters like Roland, Benfry and Alex, who don't truck with spy shit, and so don't generate action the way Horas and Francis did.

Alright Piers would make a move to consolidate this Network too.
I can think of two ways to handle this.
one-Flea is smart and touch enough to battle of Piers so he retains control. Two-Flea bargains with Piers to remain autonomous. But still passes along new info.
I can live with any one as long as only we know Piers was beaten by a twelve year old.

I'd like to see Flea remain autonomous. (he's 15 now, although that doesn't improve things much). Let's say Piers is simply thrown off since he's not expecting any resistance when he moves to take over, and after a few tit for tat killings, he backs off.

I am fine with that. Lets just keep it under our hats.

We don't want to ruin Piers aura of invincibility.
