The guard announces Patrek, and Roland rises. "My good man, I was told of your deeds after you'd arrived. It is a great honor."

Patrek grunts. "Thank you ser Royce, but it's hardly a story fit for the legends. Wading through sewers, getting captured, released, captured again and released. Hopefully that won't happen again. I swear that sometimes I still smell sewage. You protected the King better than we did," Patrek grimaced. "Enough of that, how fares the war? Will the Vale march to Kings Landing?".

Roland smiled at Patrek's mention of the sewage. "In any case, Patrek, trials suffered in the service of one's king is always honorable, whatever the particulars. As to the question of the march, I would go this minute but there is the matter of protecting the King. I am hoping the strategic situation will allow Father to release some of our forces here."

Patrek nods. "I know little of strategy and tactics so I'll leave that up to better men than I. How fares the King?"

"I have not seen him since he went further into the Vale. I presume he is healthy and hale."

"I shall see for myself soon enough I guess. Where in the Vale would he be?"

"I believe he is at the Gates of the Moon."

Patrek nods. "We will be on our way then. Thank you, Ser, for staying true in these times".
