Two guards enter with the man, to find Roland Royce there, also with Ser Daven Hersey. Roland inclines his head in greeting. "Welcome. Who do I have the pleasure to be addressing?"

"Ser Mychel Heatherspoon, my lord," the short, middle-aged man replies, smiling slightly. "I have come here to deliver a letter, and to answer any subsequent questions you may have," he said, handing over a piece of parchment.

Ser Mychel shifts uncomfortably from foot to foot when Royce does not respond.

OOC- I just saw it When Ser Roland finally told the messenger what he thought of the letter, Ser Mychel exhaled, looking visibly relieved. "My men and I have had a long, tough ride," he said. "May we seek shelter and food for the night?"

OOC - If Mychel is proxy for Lydden we can discuss things via PM... I suppose even if he isn't with 2 week RL days ravens work just as well to make PMs doable. "Yes, of course, Ser Mychel. Speak to the man just outside my office to the left. He will appoint you and your men in the West Tower."

Ser Mychel and his men had been in the Vale for three days now. Food and drink had been provided, and even companionship with the knights on duty at the Bloody Gate. But Ser Mychel knew he needed to return to Lord Lydden's army with an answer from himself, even if the Royce knight had been sending ravens. So, on the morning of the fourth day, he once again asked for a word with Ser Roland Royce.
Once he was admitted, he got straight to point.
"Ser Roland, thank you for taking this time to speak with me. I only wish to know if you have spoken to the King and Ser Tytos about the offer I have brought on behalf of the West," Ser Mychel said in a courteous manner.
