I PM'd this to the Smith, for the new thread about Troop Locations and Numbers. It's accurate about where our forces are located right now. Commanded by Ser Marten Lannister:15,000 men garrisoned in Casterly Rock and Lannisport 80 War Galleys in the Lannisport Harbor Commanded by Ser Addam Farman:2,000 men garrisoned in Faircastle 9 War Galleys patrolling around Fair Island Commanded by Lord ? Westerling:2,000 men garrisoned in the Crag 3,000 men spread through smaller keeps along the coast Commanded by Ser Tytos Lannister:20 War Galleys sailing from Braavos to Lannisport Commanded by Lord Jaymes Farman:The Valkyrie sailing towards Fair Isle Commanded by Lord Lewys Lydden:6,500 westermen garrisoned in Deepwood Motte 1,500 northmen from assorted Hosues garrisoned in Deepwood Motte Total: 28,500 westermen called up to arms with 110 War Galleys, as well as 1,500 northmen allied with and serving under Lord Lydden

Jaymes, how did you get the 1,500 northmen number? I'm just curious, cause I wasn't sure myself. That would be a good and fair number, though. Does the 1,500 include men from Deepwood Motte, or is it just from the three castles I stopped at on the way up (Manderly, Tallhart, Ryswell)? That would mean each of these lords gave me 500 men, which would be fair and expected.

It seems accurate, I think we can raise another 10 000 men without huge troubles. Thanks for help, I don`t have that much free time at the moment.
Maybe we can buy more ships from Pentos and Myr?

I think that is a good idea.

I posted in Pentos as NPC. Maybe they seek alliance in light of Braavos interfering so much in Westerosi affairs?

That could be quite possible, the Sealord has been meddling a lot. If that could happen, it would be great, IMO.

I will just offer them a chance to crush Ironborn, nobody likes their piracy.

Okay, it says we have 3,000 men along the coast. Is that enough? We have to cover the Banefort, Keyce, and Feastfires, at least. And then some smaller keeps that don't show up on the map, most likely.

500 men is large garrison for a castle, in all honesty. They're not attacking outright, they're raiding, so we don't need to worry about a true siege or battle. Our men on garrison duty at the coast are really there to ride out of the castle at the first sign of Ironborn, and ride qick to whatever village they're attacking to protect the smallfolk there. THe ironborn will run like pussies when our knights ride up, so the knights go back to the castles. Rinse, and repeat.
Even if we've got like 8 castles along the coast to defend, 3000 men should be more than enough.

Good. I have 500 men left at Deep Den right now, and seeing as it stands behidn Casterly Rock, it is under no immediate threat. I could spare another 100 or 200 men if it was needed. Also, Jaymes, and Marten, is it possible to find the wood on the coast to start building ships like my army up north is doing? You can build 1 ship per month (1 day in real life), and if this war keeps getting delayed, it could end up making the difference.

well you're building them in the middle of the forest, we have Lannisport Harbor, presumably with dockyards and shipyards as well. Marten should PM he smith, maybe we can build them a little faster in Lannisport

Well, actually, Smith never told me 1 ship per month, thats just what everyone else said was the standard. Deepwood Motte has a small dock and port and plenty of beachland to build, but you're right, I would think Lannisport Harbor would be able to build as fast as any other place in Westeros, save maybe KL or Arbor.
