Staring at the slave Cedric asked, "Where are you from, good master? You look familiar to me." He focused all his attention on the old man.

The man coughed violently. He was clearly unwell and had been for some time. "My name is Edmure. I don't recognize you ser."
The Grand Viceroy, if that's what he was, sang something else, with a harsh staccato on the end.
"His Grandness says he has something he would like to show you, if you would like to see it."

"I am Cedric Lannister. You are from here aren't you? You must have an interesting story." Cedric replied, still staring at the man he asked, "Do I want to see it?"

"I'm a stormlander by birth Ser Cedric." The man translated something to the man, who turned, and nodded to the other robed men with the wagon.
They pull off the cloth sheet, to reveal a trussled up boy, squirming, and biting at the gag in his mouth.
Prince Rodrick clearly did not seem happy.
The Viceroy began again, talking for some time, before Edmure began to translate for him.
"He says that despite your greedy treachery, and invasion of our lands, we are willing to come in peace. As a sign of our desire, we have bound your Prince to our Empress. If you will stand aside, and turn this men to our cause, You shall be greatly rewarded. Many kings and potentates serve her Imperial Majesty, and we shall make you another, if you acquiesce."

Cedric chuckled, "You got that wrong. I had no desire to see that. It makes my life much more difficult." Looking over his shoulder at the keep, he kicked his lips. Then turning his eyes back to the slave he asked, "I don't suppose they will surrender if I command it?"

Lord Duncan sat on his horse behind Cedric, holding the white flag, listening to the invader's words, though growing more confused by the minute.

The slave called Edmure looked at Cedric helplessly, and than appeared to translate what he had said.
The Viceroy laughed, in his sing song voice, and than spoke some more, mumuring one word, which sounds like "westerlands" in Westerosi.
"His Grandness says, that you must be very poor to have only two attendants, and you could be King of all you see, King of the Westerlands, if you stand aside."

"You could tell him that he can shove that golden crown up his fat ass. But on the other hand that may not be too wise." Cedric looked over his shoulder back at Deep Den, "Who are these people Edmure? Can they deliver on these promises?"

"Yes, We can." said the Grand Viceroy in perfect, if heavily accented Westerosi as he raised his black mask to reveal a paler version of the face Cedric had seen on the men he'd captured. Perhaps it was white makeup, he wasn't sure. The man offered a smile with black teeth. Not rotten, but painted black. His eyes were a milky white with the tiniest black speck in the center.
"We can deliver on all our promises, and all of our threats. We will need competent and loyal men, to help us rule our newest Kingdom, Cedric of Lannister."

Cedric raised an eyebrow, "Alright deal. I will sell out, and ride back in there and take the keep by force and deliver, Alexander of Irwyn. All you have to do is prove your trustworthiness to me." He paused to think over what he was saying, "Just give me the boy."

The man laughed.
"I think not Cedric. Her Imperial Majesty has taken quite a liking to the boy, and it would not do to have him harmed in the fighting." The man's black smile widened.
"You are a very entertaining man Cedric of Lannister. There may yet be use for you."

Cedric shrugged, "Do you speak with her voice? Can we negotiate not just for the keep but for the whole Realm?"

"All of Westeros? Minus the land of the Rivers, which we have promised to the longship men. hmm..." He said, thinking, "That is a large proposition, I fear more would be required from you. We had planned to use the boy to insure some kind of continuity, but if you would rather take his place at her Imperial Majesty's side, than we will accept."

Cedric looked at him, "May I bring a proper entourage?" He offered a bold smile.

"You'll have everything due your station. But do you agree." The man said, completely unflustered.
