Roose snapped his head around. "Disrespect our ally again and I'll clap you in irons." He said, his voice coldly stern.

"I'm sorry m'lord." Ulfor said. "Feld is one for jokes. He means no disrespect."

Hendry Dustin looks at the Dreadfort men, smiling slightly as Roose makes the comment. He personally saw nothing wrong with a little fun.
"I bet you are right, Roose. Their full armor slows a man down, although I hope to the Old Gods that they did not bring their full armor. Steel can freeze a man faster than the cold can." Hendry said, looking around at the men. Most had thin chain mail with thick furs over it.

Roose nodded, still looking at the Dreadfort man sternly. He absent mindedly pulled his furs closer around his slim, adolescent shoulders.

"They're holding their steels on wrong." Feld said. "Begging your parden m'lord. But for the cold you need to buy wider armor and place a layer of fur underneith it. Most of the knights don't seem to know this."

"I know." Roose said, pulling back his sleeve to reveal the fur underneath. "I spent quite a few years here. One learns to dress warmly or they run the risk of losing certain..." Roose said it with a stern face, but there was a slight sparkle in his eyes, "extremities."

Feld nodded. "But your knights don't know. That could lead to a problem for the Southerners later. Not that it matters now they can't change their armor." Feld grinned at the boy. "You do have a sense of humor. You should let it out more before you become as stiff as Ulfor."
Beside him Ulfor grunted.

Hendry Dustin looked over at their new companion.
"So, you're here to help us find Benjen Stark? I suppose you would know the land, seeing as you're a Wilding. Although, how can we know you wont double cross us?" Hendry asked, eyeing the man.

Teffarons expression didnt change he said "you do not, but i am a man of the nights watch and you could use my tracking skills, my accuracy with a bow and the eyes of my hawk Mannok to see what lies ahead. Besides i have sworn an oath to the nights watch and they would have my head if i did anything... what should we say, unhonorable."

Hendry Dustin laughed at Teffaron's first comment.
"Okay, you can join us. We could always use another man in our search beyond the Wall."

Mannok (teffarons hawk) flew off his shoulder to hunt, and the last words Teffaron said before he set of to his quarters were "So when do we set off"

Hendry Dustin looks over at the new arrival. "So, Marten Lannister finally decides to meet us. Matters in the South? Do you enjoy holding up a several-hundred-man search Beyond the Wall?" Hendry asks, badgering him for the sake of boredom.
