Gamlin is lead away to a spacious tower room. It is clearly meant for visiting Lords. Soon two maids enter with chilled wine and hot food. These maids are friendly, Very friendly to the weary traveller and help him undress and offer to help him bathe.

Emelia and Timm were brought into Piers' chambers in the Eyrie. Emelia for once inclined her head immediately, rather than standing on protocol. Her eyes were steady, those of a woman who was already calculating angles of attack.
