The man has been captured but won't speak, so the answers to the questions about who he is and who sent him etc can be delayed for a bit.

Yeah don't let the Dornish have scouts I am planning on ambusihing their sorry asses at the Pass. However, I need to keep the appearances that we are still active at Horn Hill, marching forces around extra tents and banners etc.

I'm new here and not knowledgeable about war... but when you ambush the dornish, I could send Redwyne to Highgarden for 'peace talks' or something to stall them so they wont march on Horn Hill in your absence. He could also start infiltrating the system for the plan you illustrated in the other thread.

They probably won't buy Peace talks Tarly. Especially since I'm trying to have the Redwyne Fleet sink Farman for sailing into our Straits and thinking we won't care.

Yeah also the Mander hasn't raised their full force so they would have to start raising troops now to have them ready to attack before Irwyn gets back. Horn Hill is pretty well defended so the 10,000 men should easily be able to hold off the Mander's current forces. Now if they doubled their numbers then we need to grow weary. One way that you can improve your battle without fighting is to read about some important battle. Not the most heroic but it will get the job done. Aemon Webber our Legendary General is at Horn Hill now so perhaps you could make a discussion with him, you and Bulwer could read something raise your skill and then go talk to him for RP and then maybe right another scenario to raise it again. Also it never hurts to do training fights to raise your weapon skills. It is important in both war and peace.

Alright, thanks for the advice. Who controls Webber for RP? I will definitely go talk to him.
Oliver, do you want to have a training fight against me, and then we can write scenarios raising our stats?

Yep definately. That would be cool. I've just brought Tomas in to act as your squire - his first act can be to help you prepare for a training battle with his old man.

Haha, how ironic. This should be fun.

There'll be a lot riding on it - Tomas is gonna lose respect for one of us.

I kinda hope you win then. A son should respect his father. And you're older than Robb, so it wouldn't be so bad for him to lose.

Smith said that Francis controls Aemon, I have never roleplayed with him so I don't know anything about him. I actually didn't know we had a Legendary General or I would of used him a lot sooner. Although hopefully if Alexander survives he can have Legendary General Status by the end. You can just make a thread in the Battle Section saying a training fight between Robb Tarly and Oliver Bulwer using blunted weapons and one of the Councilors can roll it. If you wanted to take the results and turn it into a scenario you can, generally speaking raising stats after a rolled battle where your character's life is in danger is easier then just a written one where you say what happens. Although it is best to have some skill first so that you aren't cut down. Good luck guys.

We're both expert swordsmen so it will be close. Hopefully it'll be the sort of fight where there are no real losers.
You're right, I probably do have more to lose. How disheartened would Tomas be if his dad is thrashed by a man almost half his age?

How about if I do happen to win, we both write in our scenarios how you challenged me to a rematch afterwards and you win the second time?
