Tarly nods, "Go to Storm's End Ser Bulwer. Princess Emelia may speak more freely to a more experenced touch. Maybe a more delicate touch."

There is a twitch in the centre of Oliver's brow as he tries to restrain a slight frown at the new Regent's words.
"I shall do this. I shall leave for Storm's End on the morrow with a few men of my own and any others who would serve the Far Reach."
He bows and is seated again. He is seen whispering something to some of the Redwyne contingent as he does so.

Lady Anne's face looked flushed, but she says nothing.

Alexander notices the look on Lady Anne's face, was it possible that she was wary of the intentions of both Dorne and Prince Andry as well?
"Do you have orders for the men at arms currently raised Lord Tarly?" Alexander pauses before making his own suggestion,
"While I think our current force level is adequate, perhaps we would be advised to develop our defenses? At least until we can understand what role we will play in the coming storm."
Alexander looks at the other Lords to see if any will back his statement.

"Lord Irwyn has the right of it. With the ongoing turmoil, it would be best to leave the men in the field, Perhaps near Brightwater, so that they are centrally located to respond to any eventuality." Ser Torn, the Castellan of Stoatheart offered, his first words of the event.
Lady Anne swallowed nervously.
"Perhaps I could speak to the Princess of Dorne on your behalf? From what I've heard she has a...problem with men. She may respond better from a Lady, and I will serve if you'll allow it. Also wouldn't it be wise to send word also to the Lord Regent in the Vale? That way we are reaching out with both arms, and not seeming to play favorites?"

"Irwyn you have the right of it. Take half the men and begin working on the defenses between us and the Stormlands. Florent you take the other half and do the same along our border with Dorne. Redwyne, I would like to speak to you later about our naval options." Lord Trevor scratched his chin in thought, "Irwyn once you have started the construction in the east, you should travel to speak to the Lord Regent that is a good idea. Pick your second carefully."
Stopping he looked to Lady Anne, and bowed deeply, "I think that would be a good idea, milady. Make sure to bring guards though. The roads can be quite frightful these days."

"No doubt that is true Lord Tarly. I appreciate your concern for my welfare." Lady Anne tried to smile, but found it impossible. If what they said of the Princess of Dorne was true, this trip would be no tea party.

"Well I think your home, at Horn Hill is the key to everything, Lord Tarly" Alexander says based on his knowledge of tactics, "if an Army attacks from Dorne or the Stormlands they will likely come between your home and the Mander otherwise they are coming over the mountains which should be easier to defend."
Alexander scratches his head, "The Far Reach has around 16,000 men in service but only around 8,000 of that number are serving together. The remaining men are spread out serving their Lords in defense of key Keeps." Alexander pauses.
"I'd recommend that we use the 8,000 men currently serving with me to help secure HornHill and then we either call up an additional 2,000 men or reposition some of the other men currently serving in the Keeps to patrol around the Dornish Mountains." Alexander looks around the room to see if any of the other Lords intend to question his recommendation.

Tarly nods, "Thank you Alexander. If I speak wrongly tell me. I will not have men sent to their deaths because of my own pride. Do it Irwyn."
He looks to Anne, "Thank you Milady, you should leave as soon as you can."

"Thank you Milord." She curtsies, and leaves, with Ser Torn on her heels.
