This meeting of the lords of the Far Reach takes place within the Hightower, in a well appointed meeting room where wines, cheeses, breads and meats have been laid out for sampling. There are no servants in the room, and it is the Oldtown Watch which guards the doors. Each Lord is encouraged to bring himself and one aide. Well cushioned chairs are placed for each participants, with the largest seat at the head left symbolically empty for Lord Justin.

Lady Anne Varner arrives, with Ser Torn at her side. She is wearing a simple black dress with a black shawl to symbolize her mourning. Her only piece of finery is a white gold weasel broach pinned over her heart. Ser Torn is wearing black chain mail with a surcoat featuring the Varner arms. He has a longsword at his side.

Edrick arrives dressed in his finest livery and a trimmed beard. He has never been so terrified in his life.
He really knows nothing of the meeting, but by the Stranger... if he doesn't confront the lion in it's den, the lion will simply hunt him down. The guards simply couldn't think of a real reason to turn away a Princely relative to the Hightowers.

The men of the Oldtown Guard provide a well acquainted apartment for the Prince to reside in. After a few moments Captain Merik is announced.
"Your Highness, welcome to the Hightower. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable, please let me know. We didn't know if Lady Wyenna would be joining you, so if you require any kind of alternate arrangements, please let us know."

Edrick nodded politely and stared out the window. He had forgotten the tower of Hightower was so... high. He could really use a drink right now...

"If there is something we can have sent up from the kitchens for you I'm sure they'll be glad to fix something up for you."

"Summerwine... preferably chilled." He was almost dizzy.

"As you wish your highness." Captain Merik relayed the request to another guard, who sent a servant down to the kitchens. After awhile the man returns with a large bottle of chilled summerwine.

"Thank you..." He opened the bottle and drank straight from it. By the time his lips left it, it was already half empty.

Lady Anne rises, and approaches the Lords. She shakes hands warmly with Ser Oliver and Ser Steffan.
"Lord Blackbar, I'm so pleased that you could make it. I enjoyed your son's company at Brightwater very much." She smiles. "Please, help yourselves to wine and food." Finally approaching Lord Alexander, she hugs the bannerlord warmly.
"Lord Alexander thank you so much for coming. I didn't have the opportunity to speak with you at your wedding, and it was before we learned the news."

"Lady Anne, there are no words for me to express the saddness in my heart for your loss. Dacey also wants me to express her grief and let you know that she will be traveling to Oldtown shortly and hopes that she can spend some time with you when she arrives." Alexander says after releasing the widow of Francis Varner.

"I would like that very much Lord Alex. I know that my husband relied on you heavily, and I will continue to lean on you during these times. I'm sure you'll be able to tolerate the strain."

"Yes, well all I can offer is my best and with the realm seeming to implode around us that might not be enough. Only time will tell and hopefully with the strength of the Seven we will successfully navigate this Storm."
