"Show off?" Vance asks. "No, not at all. I am a humble knight and traveler, always keen to find a bit of adventure. With the Ironborn off the coast, I sought to hire out my sword, and Ser Rodney here as been kind enough to take me on, and Beau as well."
"Greetings, Ser Alexander. I've never ridden through Stoatheart; are the lasses as pretty there as they are here in Bandallon?"

"Well they say you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. . . Eh Ser Coleman" Alexander says jokingly. "Your right these fine fellas certaintly put me and my country ways to shame"

"Whatever. Well I'm going to go get a horn of Ale." With that Coleman truns and walks into Main Hall.

"Hardly, good ser. I imagine you didn't sleep under a trees like we have the last few weeks -- this seems like a fine place. If you can restrain yourselves from killing us, perhaps we'll have a good time here in Bandallon," Ser Vance says with a smile.
Baeumarin, in his simple black tunic, just laughs at the whole situation. He is always amazed by how quickly Vance can offend some men.

"Oh don't be too troubled by Ser Coleman he's only got two interests women and war and with all the excitement in the past months most Knights were getting less then they wanted of the former."

Coleman at the door to the Hall calls back, "I heard that and yes I love War and Women but I don't like men like that." Coleman points at Vance.

"I seem to have made a great impression with the man. I happen to love women very much so mayhaps we have one thing in common. I can't say I have much love for war..." Vance says. "I'll try to keep my distance so as to not goad him further."
"Ale, perhaps?"

"I do have some business with my uncle to attend to first, but I'd be happy to join you later this evening," Alexander says eyeing his uncle Ser Rodney precariously to see what the older Knight thinks of the situation.

"Well, in that case we'll leave you be," Beaumarin says hastily. "We'll find you in the Hall a bit later, Ser Rodney and Ser Alexander, after we visit the tavern."

Vance and Beaumarin get comfortable in the village tavern rather than go drink in the castle's Great Hall. There was an easier air here than with soldiers, particularly the angry Ser Coleman. Beaumarin sang for the crowd, and truly had them rapt -- truth to tell, he was a far better singer than any random minstrel, fit to sing in a King's Hall* -- but he preferred to sing to the smallfolk.
Both spent the evening between songs flirting with the tavern wenches, drinking, and befrieding the villagers and merchants who pass through Bandallon.
*is true. Beaumarin is a Grandmaster musician.

Coleman sits there nursing a Horn of Ale, "Very good singer but he could of sang something more for the occasion."

Beaumarin, born in the town of Longtable, where the Blue Bym meets the Mander, stands and sings, "The Ride of the Hundred Horse", a traditional war song about a glorious charge of Reach cavalry. It is a popular song amongst Reach knights, sung on all the marches.

Beaumarin continues to entertain with "The Highest Tower", another traditional Reach-song about the building of the Hightower in Oldtown. Vance slips out quietly with his arm around a willing wench.
