"To inform you that The Mander Reach is not making an alliance with Prince Andry or King Regent Piers. We are neutral and we hope that you do the same. And not to think badly about Andry he is a clever one."

Ser Lorn Costayne enters Oldtown, in his finest clothes. He rides a professionally bred horse, and brings with him 5 guards, each equiped with fine steel mail and boiled leather. As he enters the gate, he questions a guard.
"Where would I find Lord Tarly?" he asked, his voice cool and curteous, barely even paying attention to the guard.

"Lord Tarly is popular today." Says the uniformed man of the Oldtown Guard. "You'll want to head to the Hightower and get in line with the rest of 'em." the man offered a gap-toothed grin.

A raven arrives from Horn Hill,
Lord Regent,
Dorne has raised their army as you feared, rumors of as many as 20,000 men are on the march. I am coming to Oldtown to discuss alternatives, reccommend that we assemble other Lords to discuss our options, we need to hear everyone's voice to know that they we will stand as one for we will surely fall if we stand alone.
Respectfully, Alex

The Sea pearl glides into the dock at Oldtown. On board its 15 man crew, and a begging brother, hunched over with age, clinging tenaciously to the bowl around his neck. While the crew of the Pearl speaks with the Oldtown Guard, the brother soon blends into the crowd, and disappears, headed towards the Hightower.

Ser Lorn Costayne looks at the guard. "Stand in line? Do you know who I am?" Ser Lorn looked down at the guard in disgust. "I am the heir to Lord Costayne. I will wait in no lines."

"Sorry ser." says the guard, with a still smug look on his face. "If you tell Captain Merik at the Hightower, I'm sure he'll make sure you're comfortable until Lord Tarly is ready for you."

Ser Lorn looks down at the guard, and spits on him. He then proceeds to ride off towards the Hightower.
