Gideon had seen first hand what drinking did to people. His brother was a drunkard and a asshole, especially when he had been drinking. So when Maurin asked him to come with to have a drinking game he shook his head.
"I agree with Jaehaerys, we don't have time to go off making fools of ourselves when there are things to learn. More important things then the bottom of a drinking mug."

Maurin makes a bit of hurt expression.
"Well, you never get out? It isn`t that you have to get drunk, and you deserve some rest from studying.....especially if you pass the healing test tomorrow." -Maurin gives Gideon an ambigious look - "You doubt that you pass it? Confidence is half of victory."

He smiled at Maurin.
"No, I do get out, but that time is usually spent training some things I've read in a book. Studying and training is my way of resting and relaxing."
He paused and looked strangely at Maurin, a look that told him that Gideon was suspecting someting, but that it didn't involve Maurin.
"I've studied all I can for the healing test, so I'm pretty sure I'll pass, but you never know. Things can happen."

He shook Maurins hand and gave him a nod as he closed the door behind him.
"So Jaehaerys, what do you say, should we do some studying togheter ?"

Jaehaerys thought for a second. "Yes, I think we should. Let me return to my room to gather up my healing notes."

Gyles was walking further down the steps, the archmaester living here was an old grumpy fellow, the other maesters kept away as they though the guy crazy. He was studying the High Mysteries, magic and that was frowned upon in the citadel. Finally, he stood in front of a door.
He knocked hard.

When no answer came he knocked once again, and still no answer. He felt the door, it was unlocked. The room was dark, save for two small candles burning just inside the door, but beyond that is was pitch dark. A hallway lead towards bigger room, at least that was he thought, as all he saw was some kind of light at the end, but he couldn't see the maester.
"Hello" he called out. No answer came, so Gideon took a candle and headed down towards the light.

Jaehaerys walked towards Gideon's chamber, and knocked on his door. He had a bottle of Arbor Red in his left hand, along with two glasses. Around his neck he wore a chain, but not any chain. Around his neck, he wore a Maesters Chain. Over a dozens links were on it, links of all different colors and metals. However, one link in particular drew peoples eyes.... A greyish link, amazingly light... A link of Valyrian Steel adorned the center of his Maesters chain, signifying he has studied magic.

The door open, and a man with red-speckled eyes opened the door. He didn't really look like Gideon, there were black bags under his eyes, which comfirmed that he probably hadn't slept for days. When he saw that it was Jae standing outside, he offered a tired smiled and invited him in.

Jaehaerys smile shrank back as he stepped into the room. The man standing in front of him was like Gideon, except very tired and weary. "What's wrong, Gideon?" He asked in concern.

Gideon sat down on the bed, giving Jaehaerys another weary smile.
"Nothing, there's just so much to read in all books, that I have stayed up almost two days in a row, studying. What can I help you with?"
He stiffled a yawn and offered him a seat on the chair next to the desk.

Jaehaerys grinned as he set the wine bottle on the table, along with the two glasses. He filled both glasses, and handed Gideon one. I know you don't like to drink, but just one. " Jaehaerys held his wine glass in the right hand, and took his left hand and took off the odd scarf that he had about his neck.... Revealing a Maesters chain. "Cheers!"

Gideon took a small sip of the wine, before putting it on the desk, that stood next to the bed. He smiled, this time not looking as tired as before.
"Congratulations, my friend. Looks like I'm going to be here alone from now on"

Jaehaerys smile turns sad. "Yes, sadly enough. I just recieved word earlier today, I'm going to Blackcrown to serve the Bulwers." Jaehaerys was happy for himself, but was really trying to combat it and console Gideon.
