Kaz just ignored him, combing over what he could find next to the river. He found a dangerous-looking blade, and smirked. "Perfect!" He exclaimed, and went off by himself to go sharpen it on some rocks.

The sun began to set. "If you got homes, go back to 'em" said Neal, "If not, we'll build us a tight little city here." Two scrambled off, but the others stayed and found shelter under a long dock. Neal brought out two mudstained but dry blankets and the boys huddled under them for warmth once the full dark set in.
