Francis sat on the edge of his bed, in his chambers in The Burrow. He'd become rather paranoid of late, which is why there were two men at the door, and another 6 on the hallway.
Francis waited patiently for the man who had said there was important information to discuss.

Julius Shortarm had been one of the first men Varner had recruited in King's Landing. By trade Julies was a butcher, but he was truly a born spy. Even before Francis paid him too, Julius used to gather information from every one who entered his shop. Now all that was passed up to Lord Varner, and Julies had many custumers who worked in the Red Keep.
Julius sits down and looks to the guards at the door, "May they be trusted my lord? What I have to say is so vital I do not wish any you do not trust absolutely to hear."

Francis nodded. "They are men with me from Stoatheart, served me since the very beginning. And they have their fellow guards to watch them. Francis gets up to close the door behind Julius, and than stands behind him, about two or three paces, while asking his questions.
"You said the issue was urgent. What do you have for me that required breaking usual protocols?" Francis asked.

"I have heard from a reliable source, my Lord." Julius cocks his head so he is watching Francis reflection in a piece of metal on Varner's desk. "There is at least one Faceless Man here in King's Landing and his mission is you."

Francis raises his eyebrow. "I can hardly imagine It would be worth the trouble. Did your reliable source have any theories to offer as to who had sent them?"

Julius nods, "He knew for a fact who had sent him. The Sea Lord himself Delinal Sergyo. Aparantly you have risen to attract the sight of great men Lord Varner. That is not always a good thing, I know from personal experience."

Francis was watching his agent closely. Once the Faceless Men were part of the story, there was truly, no one you could trust. A strange calm came over Francis, with the knowledge that in all likelihood he was already dead.
"I'm inclined to agree with you Julius. I thank you for the warning, and all appropriate preparations will be made. If you have anything else regarding this plot, I would hear of it now."

Julius nodded, "One of your agents was murdered a couple of days ago in their sleep. The Faceless man then took their form and demanded a meeting with you. You accepted, and now stand feet away from him." Julius put one fat finger on his lip seemingly deep in thought, "I think that is all I know of the plot, but I do have some other things to say to you."

Francis pulled his dagger from its sheath on his left arm and fell into a defensive posture.
"If you mean to speak with your tongue than speak. If it's actions for your words, than the Stranger can speak for both of us."

The man wearing Julius face laughed and shook his head, "Lord Weasal if I wanted you dead, I would be one of those two guardsmen outside. Your men searched me thourghly I have no weapon." He let his words sink in before continuing, "I bear a message from the Sea Lord. He wishes you to work for him. He says you are a smart man, you know the rewards that shall be yours if you agree." Julies gestures towards Francis, "And the penalties if you to dismiss his offer." The hands turns and Julies motions toward himself.

"The Sea Lord has such a way of inspiring friendship and loyalty." Francis said with a scowl. "What would he have me do?"

"First it would be wise to realize that it was Horas Blackwood that commited the murder. Second you should send a representative that can speak for you to Storm's End. And third I need you to kill some one important to maintaining the peace in Westeros." Julies smiled and winked.

Francis smiled. "You seem to know an awful lot about this for a hired blade, whoever you are. And I mistook you for the assassin. Why not take whatever contribution the Sealord put down for my worthless self and put it towards killing this important person of yours. Seems by far the more practical approach." Francis waves his hand as if to dismiss this earlier statement. "Who needs to die so that I may cravenly spare my own life?"

The man laughs, "We have no particular idea. There is a book in the library. It is called, "A Plowman's Life; The Farmers of the Reach." It is on the eigth rack from the door. On the third shelf from the ground. You have two weeks to go and write the person you plan to kill on page 37. If we think he fits our description you will live. After you write the name you have six months to kill that person."
Pausing to smile he adds, "You know the consequences of failing, so I will not dweel. And I will gladly kill your target for a price." When he say that price, Varner breaks out into a cold sweat. It is too much for House Varner to afford, only a Lord Paramount could afford that with out bankrupting his house.

Francis' mind raced with the possible consequences and outcomes. "You know, I was lead to believe that once hired, the faceless men could never be called off. That there was no.... bargaining or dealing, only a single transaction, a single price, for a single life. Is that an accurate understanding?" Francis rocked back on his heels slightly.
