"Good enough for now, but Yozs and I train daily... I hope to one day perhaps go into the books as being one of the few infamous knights" Darien chuckled at that. "Ah, well everyone can have dreams." He stood by whilst Aranya read the letter.

Aranya's eyes darkened in fury as she read. She nodded to the messenger, and folded the letter and tucked it away.
"Dreams?" she looked at him, distracted. "Oh...yes. Dreams are for boys, but men make them come true.

OOC: After the skewbald scenario.
After sending her son up with Ser Jonjen, Aranya led Darien into a separate chamber and they had a quiet dinner together. "I want to thank you again, for looking after my son," Aranya said. She couldn't bring herself to imagine how it would have been if something had happened to Brynden. "And I must say, I am impressed with how you handled the situation."

"Ah, to be honest, I was as scared as he was. Men I have fought in plenty, but wolves are something quite different. I think my instincts just took over, however your son handled himself very well... He is quite the horseman, as I am sure you know." Darien gave a smile before deciding wether to eat the chicken leg or the scalped potatoes first.

"He ought to be," Aranya smiled, taking a delicate bite off her dagger. Then she said, "I have decided to make you my castellan, Darien. I trust you with my castle while I am gone."

Darien coughed and dropped his fork. Gravy from his plate spattered all over his snow-white tunic. "Ah, well that is... that is an honor. I have only recently arrived yet a great position is given me. I must thank you, sister." Then he caught on to what she had said. "While you are gone? Pray, where might it be that you are going?" Darien took a napkin and slowly wiped the brown sauce off of his tunic.

"I am not entirely sure of the specifics yet. And while you are here, I will have another job for you." She slid a folded letter across the table.

Darien read the letter and frowned. "I will attend to these matters as soon as possible." Darien, suddenly not feeling hungry anymore, shoved his plate out of the way. "Is there anything else, sister?"

"Not really, for now," Aranya smiled. "I can see you do not waste time. I like that."

Felryn stalked in to the the small chamber adjoining the Great Hall, following him where Theon Godswind and the large Bastard of Hammerhorn.
He glanced at Aranya feasting and looked annoyed, "have you found my niece's murderer under your vegetables, Royce?"

Aranya narrowed her eyes. "No, I have not, but the investigation is underway." She rose from the table.

Darien looked at the three men who had just entered, especially the man who had spoken so rudely to the Lady Royce. "And who might you be that you can speak thus to my sister?" Darien asked.

"It's all right, Darien," Aranya said, not wanting to let Harlaw try to attack him. "Ironborn are worse than wildlings. Maybe you'd like to go attend to the letter?"

"And what have you found?" he asked with a tone that suggested he didn't believe she was getting or anywhere, or likely would.
He barely registered that there was another person in the room who was talking to him, so much was his attention focused on Aranya.

Darien rose. "Yes... of course I'll attend to it. A good evening to you sister." Darien stared at Felryn for a moment, then turned and left.
