The market place of Tall Tree Town was packed with people from all over the Summer Islands. Men and women stood at the market stalls shouting loudly, telling people passing by about their wonderful wares.

A fat man with a reciding hairline, came walking down one of the many pathways through the market. He had been sent here to see if there was any truth to the rumour about a white boy being sold as slave by one of the villages to the east. The man was the first servant of Temilade Xho, which styled himself Prince of the Summer Islands, but in truth Temilade was no more than a wealthy merchant, who had dealings with Westorosi merchants which in turn gave him a little bit higher standing than the other merchants on the islands.
The man saw a big crowd, standing over by a stall at the end of the pathway he was currently walking. He walked towards it, and could see the crowd whispering amongst themselves and pointing at something, but the servant couldn't see what it was. He pressed himself through the crowd, and he understood what the commotion was about, when he saw the young boy standing there, bound to feet and hand, starring forward without not moving a muscle. According to the rumors that had spread across town, wasn't the news of a white westorosi, no the rumors told that the boy had drowned and lived again.
"Excuse me, dear man" he asked the owner of the stall in the navtive language of the Summer Islands "How much for the boy"
The stallowner didn't look up at first, so he said with a casual tone.
"More than you could afford"
But when the owner saw who he was talking to, he smiled and rubbed his hand, looking a little nervous.
"F-f-f-for the prince, a meager payment of three wagons of food"
The servant looked appalled at the price, shaking his head. He gave the owner a threating look and spoke slowly
"No, that is too much, I'll give you one wagon of food, and a promise not to visit your village " he said putting extra weight on the word visit by smiling and touching his side, where a dagger hanged.
The owner looked scared and nodded a bit too eagerly.
"Yes, yes. That would be just fine" He went over to the boy, bound him with another rope so the man could drag him, like an animal. "Now, will you please leave, you are scaring of my other customers"
The servant nodded with a smile
"It was good we could come to such a quick understanding" He gave the boy a look "By the way, what is the boys name?"
"Don't know, he doesn't understand what we're saying, so we call him, Mashudu, as he must be very lucky to have been born twice"
The servant nodded and lead the silent boy down the pathway, leading towards the prince's house.
